Bill Murray at a recent golf tournamentBill Murray may be charged with DUI after he drove through downtown Stockholm, Sweden, in a golf cart. The cart had been part of a display outside the hotel where Murray and other VIPs attending the Scandinavian Masters golf tournament were staying. Although the cart wasn’t meant for guests, Murray hopped in and drove it to a nightclub less than a mile away. He was pulled over on his way back. Smelling alcohol on the actor, the police wanted to administer a breathalyzer test, but when he refused, they took blood samples instead. Results of the blood tests will take two weeks to process, at which time Murray will be back in the States.

Since you don’t need a driver’s license to drive a golf cart, he can’t/shouldn’t lose it if found guilty. What’s the purpose of all the effort on the part of the Swedish police? If they go to any golf course they’ll get a cramp in their hands writing up citations. We’ll all be walking while we golf.
