Billy Ray takes Miley away from L.A.

Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray CyrusBilly Ray Cyrus has taken his 15-year-old daughter, Miley Cyrus, back home to Franklin, Tennessee, where she was born and where they have a family home, to film the upcoming Hannah Montana: The Movie. He told OK! magazine what part he played in getting the movie filmed in their home town, saying: “When I read the initial script, it was all about me bringing Miley home to Tennessee, and we were going to go film it in Louisiana. To me, that was a red flag.” Billy Ray immediately contacted the producers to discuss it: “I called a few different people, and I said, ‘Wait a second, I really feel that Tennessee is the right place to make a movie about coming back to Tennessee.’” He sent them photos of his home town, and that clinched the deal. “Disney came here last week, and they pulled me aside and said, ‘Thank you for bringing this film to Tennessee.’” However, he doesn’t want to take credit, saying, “The bottom line is Tennessee sold itself. I brought it to the table and said, ‘I think it’s the right thing to do.’ It’s a great state. I’m really proud of it.”

I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but this should be an AWESOME flick!

  2. tributegirl • June 12, 2008 @ 1:03 PM

Hey, double, how are ya? Long time no, uh, doubling.
Anyway, anybody who’s ever read my comments knows what I think of Miley and knows that I wouldn’t go see one of her movies if THEY paid ME.
Although, I have to admit, Billy Ray wanting a movie about Tennessee actually filmed in Tennessee was a good move, it makes sense.

  3. jennie_bearz • June 12, 2008 @ 2:24 PM

Oh my tributegirl you never stop do you … hey it’s what you would call tammy’s other half (Personality)…LMFAO
Well I for one love miley and billy I watch hannah every night with my daughter and think she is a great role model for little girls…

  4. Nancy • June 12, 2008 @ 2:37 PM

Tributegirl never stops? The person who posted above her used her name, trying to make people think that she made the comment…you don’t realize that a couple months ago and obviously still, we have had someone on here that we named ‘double’. This person uses our names and makes comments that we ourselves would never make. I really don’t think you would like it if someone posted a bunch of garbage under the name jennie_bearz, would you? Tributegirl has a right to her opinion, too and I have to say that I agree with her even though my daughter likes to watch Hannah Montana. After the photos of Miley wearing nothing but a sheet, I think anyone who has the impression that she is a “good role model for young girls” needs to give their head a shake!

  5. sk8tergirl • June 12, 2008 @ 3:34 PM

Totally agree Nancy. I might see this movie, I can’t believe I’m saying this but it seems like it’s going to be really good.

  6. jennie_bearz • June 12, 2008 @ 3:51 PM

Sorry I didn’t realize that there was someone with nothing better to do but use other peoples names to make comments… It sounded as if she was once again trying to cut up tammy as she has been doing for a while now…
and as for giving my head a shake all these people that read to much into what they here about people need to give their head a shake and look outside the box… all the stars have something being said about them or pictures being taken of them but yet us people in the real world do the same or even worse things we just don’t have someone taking pic’s of our every move so as i said before miley is a great role modle for girls…

  7. tammy • June 12, 2008 @ 5:05 PM

thanks jennie for the comments and thank you nancy for realizing it too about people using other peoples names… I have noticed someone using my name too saying a bunch of bs…about this whole Miley Cirus and Hanna Montana thing..I have no kids so personally I’ve never watched the show…but jennie is absolutely right…when your in the spotlight they’re gonna try to bring you down any way they can…as for the photos I honestly don’t think that she just had a sheet covering her chest it might have been air brushed by photographers so they can make a buck…and if she did it could have been a boyfriend of hers that took the picture and obviously he is not very trust worthy..

  8. Nancy • June 12, 2008 @ 5:43 PM

Miley Cyrus….wearing nothing but a sheet for a Vanity Fair photo shoot…..ARCHIVES April 28/08.

  9. tributegirl • June 12, 2008 @ 6:41 PM

jennie_bearz, what is your problem? There is someone on here using other peoples names and saying stupid stuff, I really don’t give a rats fart, but what were those comments to you? Double said one thing, I said another, then you come on here saying stuff about me? And exactly what is it about my post above that was trying to “cut up tammy”? I never said a word about her.

  10. browny • June 12, 2008 @ 8:13 PM

A Britney Spears in the making.

  11. Nancy • June 12, 2008 @ 10:30 PM

We used to care less too, Tara….until other people would give us sh*t for the comments!!

  12. Gina • June 13, 2008 @ 12:06 AM

    Hello All!!

I really don’t give a rats a@@ about the Cyrus family so I think I will just get reacquainted with the wonderful people on Tribute.

    Nancy,
I’m glad to see you are still going strong. I have been looking through the posts and have tell you that I miss you as well 🙂 I must admit, it feels good to know that after all the bantering and pissy remarks I am missed when gone. I don’t see (or no longer recognize) Anonymous’ witty remarks, has she/he disappeared?

    jennie_bearz
As for Miley being a great role model for girls, thats a laugh. You want your daughter to have a good role model, pull her away from the boob tube. Take your daughter to fundraisers, charitable organizations, community events and functions where she can be exposed to real role models. Watching some chick play a bimbo on tv is far from what I want my daughter aspiring to become.

    Tammy
I love your take on the sheet situation – a loser boyfriend took the picture and submitted it to Vanity Fair, obviously not a person that could be trusted. If I was the editor of the National Enquirer, you would be my number 1 writer!

  13. thesewords • June 13, 2008 @ 8:15 AM

hes brilliant, its also a good time for her to take a break from the glitz and glamour that cali has and that bad effect on young celebrities.

  14. KAYBEAR • June 13, 2008 @ 8:24 AM

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME when is HANNAH MONTANNA on in the evening and what channel! THANKS

  15. gj • June 13, 2008 @ 9:03 AM

I think that is great to get her back to her roots and away from the glitzy crowd where she can be more normal and her parents can provide her with the moral views that they have I really think that she was getting carried away with all the bollywood rubbish she belongs with the country legends they are the right kind of people for her to be around after all Minnie Pearl, Reba, Billy Ray, Dwight Yokum and all those good country stars can guide her in the right way good for you Billy Ray you are some good dad.

  16. Samantha • June 13, 2008 @ 11:10 AM

To be honest aside from the fact that physically that poor girls head is way to big for her body LOL I like to think she’s a pretty good little actress. Can’t sing worth a lick and if they call that singing in Tennessee well that explains why Billy was a one hit Achy Breaky wonder LOL I like the show I love Rico/Oliver and of course Lily. Its what I think full house would have looked like if it revolved around the twins and NOT the grown ups. I think regardless of who she is outside the show. The show sends a positive image to girls. She dresses appropriately and the dialogue doesnt talk down to my nieces but to them as little girls having dreams of their own. YES Annie Liebovitz should never ever have taken photos of her in only a sheet but maybe there is an artistic view to the photos about how children in hollywood are barely protected and that they are products behind thinly vailed needs of greed IE the sheet. Along the way everyone wether a star or not is gonna make a mistake lets hope the internet bra photos and the vanity fair ones are her ONLY mistakes if not this cash cow for daddy might be shut back in the barn of “My kid did this and now shes a janitor”

  17. tammy • June 13, 2008 @ 12:42 PM

hey tributegirl jennie did apologize for her remark…I guess you missed that one… she thought you were making fun of me again cause you thought I was pretending to be all these different people and saying I had a split personally and all that jazz…so she’s just sticking up for me like you and nancy do each other….

  18. jennie_bearz • June 13, 2008 @ 12:52 PM

Hey tributegirl incase you didn’t realize i had said that I was sorry that I did not realize you were talking about someone else…
and as for nancy to each their own, everyone has their own look on things…

  19. tammy • June 13, 2008 @ 3:15 PM

    Thanks Gina for the comments…

  20. Poppa John's in Exile • June 13, 2008 @ 4:04 PM

Wow!! Such cattiness!! A bunch of women, indeed!!

  21. Gewher • June 13, 2008 @ 4:10 PM

Welcome to Tennessee, the patron state of shootin’ things.

  22. Nancy • June 13, 2008 @ 5:11 PM

Yes, everyone does have ‘their own look on things’…….some people are just blind though! But, to each their own….when your teenage daughter comes home with a bun in the oven, I wonder if you will blame her, her WONDERFUL role model or yourself…?????

  23. Lola • June 13, 2008 @ 5:19 PM

It’s nice to see a parent involed in there daughters life but remember Dad she is only 15 years old.
She needs to be a 15 year old also don’t forget about that.
    Lola.

  24. Anonymous • June 13, 2008 @ 6:25 PM

Ok, i’d just like to say that I think that Billy Ray is wayyyyy too involved. He’s wayyyyyy too close to Miley. It’s kinda creeping me out. Like, I get he wants to know what’s going on in his daughter’s life and that, since she’s a celebrity it makes her life that much harder, but he’s way too close and it looks more like they’re dating rather than father/daughter. Petifilic. He needs to back off just a bit…

  25. tributegirl • June 13, 2008 @ 7:04 PM

    tammy/jennie, whatever.

  26. Anonymous • June 14, 2008 @ 11:55 AM

Hey Anonymous at 3:08 am (!)on a Miley Cyrus page. You should start an I-Hate-Losers club. That’s a cool thing to do before the sun comes up.

  27. Emma • June 14, 2008 @ 12:16 PM

    Miley Cyrus is boring ..

  28. kassi • June 14, 2008 @ 5:14 PM

i think miley cyrus is a bit of an immature loser especcially since she posed nude. and if she thinks that she is a good role model she better think again.

  29. anonymus • June 14, 2008 @ 5:15 PM

i think miley should not be hanging out with mandy not at all

  30. Mary • June 14, 2008 @ 7:28 PM

ENOUGH ALREADY Too much emphasis on a girl who hasn’t even grown up yet. All this crap is just creating another money maker for the entertainment media. Get a real life everybody.

  31. Allison • June 15, 2008 @ 1:29 PM

I like Miley and Billy Ray, but I don’t think I will go and see the movie. I think it will be on par with Britney Spear’s first movie Crossroads…yikes!! She is an over-the-top performer on Hannah Montana. When Raven Simone from That’s So Raven made her movie recently she totally over acted. I think that it will be the same thing with Miley.

  32. RC • June 15, 2008 @ 5:01 PM

i DONT hate miley, its just that ever actor in disney turns out to be a singer or vice verse.

The jonas brothers were signers now theirs CAMP ROCK. I may watch this movie if it was on tv, but disney is trying to sqeeuze all the money they can. TALENT IS MORE IMPORTANT. the quality over the quanity. More bad singers. 1 good singer (HILARY DUFF) COMPARED TO SUCKY SINGERS)

  33. Anonymous • June 16, 2008 @ 2:36 PM

    The Jonas Brothers rule!

  34. tammy • June 16, 2008 @ 4:52 PM

I think all these baby gap kids(like miley and jonas brothers) suck…girlicious…now there is talent…

  35. Nancy • June 16, 2008 @ 8:16 PM

Girlicious are hoochies!! They are soooo very different than the PCD’s, that’s for sure! Although, I do like their song ‘Stupid Sh!t’.

  36. Nancy • June 16, 2008 @ 8:17 PM

Well jeeze, that’s rather odd! One would think that the whole word would carry forward to the next line, not just the last letter of the word!!!

  37. megan • July 3, 2008 @ 7:52 PM

miley i am your #1 fan i hope your movie is a big sucess.i love your voice when you sing your songs it is really truly music to my ears.good luck/break a leg with your new movie.

  38. Amber king • December 21, 2008 @ 11:13 AM

Hannah Montanna/Miley Cirus I think that your a diferent popstar your music is not that bad and that you need to start acting like a normal person well I mean that a 15-16 year old girl don’t take pics of them selves naked or no pants on actually they have a boyfriend and friends that care not some people who like you just because your famous.Do you think that you can come to St.John’s Newfoundland and take some auditions for singing or dancing us newfies (most) have good voices so maybe you could try that.By the way I liked your hair better when it was bown it suited you really well. I might as well tell you that my name is Amber King and i`m 10 years old and always get made fun of because i`m short i`m only 4 foot and 3 inches well gotta go
