Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio call it quits

By Alexandra Heilbron on October 5, 2011 | 4 Comments

After just five months of dating, Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, 24, and Leonardo DiCaprio, 37, have ended their relationship. Their representatives confirmed the news to Us Weekly. The two had been seen on a variety of dates, not just at home in California at places like Disneyland, but in foreign locations such as Monte Carlo, Cannes, Monaco, Venice and Saint-Paul de Vence in France. Last month, Blake made a trip to Australia to visit Leo on the set of his new movie, The Great Gatsby. Blake first met Leo in May when she auditioned for the role of Daisy Buchanan in the film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, but the role went to British actress Carey Mulligan instead. Leo split from longtime girlfriend, Sports Illustrated model Bar Refaeli, after dating on and off for six years, just prior to going out with Blake.

Another “The Great Gatsby”, the previous one had some high end stars of its time, Carey Mulligan is a very talented British actress, she played an interesting character in a movie called “Never Let Me Go”. I will certainly be looking forward to this next adapation of F. Scott Fitzgerald.

He’s too old for her anyway. Get someone closer to your age Leo. I don’t know why he insists on dating girls barely out of their teens.

I know why he insists dating girls just out of their teens…because he can! JK! But Leo is the man.
