It’s been only days since it was announced that Whitney Houston died of an accidental drowning, but Bobby Brown is making the headlines once again. Houston’s ex-husband was arrested for driving under the influence. He was pulled over for talking on his cell phone and then failed a field sobriety test, California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Harris told people.com. He was released on his own recognizance two hours later. Brown has a history of drug and alcohol abuse. In April 2011 Bobby Brown told people.com, “When I used to get high, I wasn’t there for my older kids. I always had a drink in my hand or disappeared.” He partly credits watching scenes from his disintegrating marriage on the reality TV series Being Bobby Brown as the reason he got clean. Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Brown and Houston, has also apparently had issues with substance abuse.
