Bobby Brown speaks out about Whitney’s drug use

Don’t ask Bobby Brown who’s responsible for Whitney Houston’s drug addiction. In an interview with the Today show’s Matt Lauer on Tuesday, Brown dispelled rumors he had anything to do with Houston’s drug use and reminisced about his final encounter with the troubled singer in his first interview since her February 11 death. When asked about persistent rumors that Houston’s life started to go downhill following their meeting, he said drugs were a part of her life long before him. “I didn’t get high [on narcotics] before I met Whitney. I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all,” Brown said.  “It’s just unexplainable how one could, you know, [claim that I] got her addicted to drugs. I’m not the reason she’s gone.” During the interview Brown also recalled the last time he saw Houston, at a family dinner with their daughter, saying she seemed to be happy and turning her life around. He found out about her passing through a text message from one of his New Edition bandmates. ~Kyle Sharp

If this photo tells me anything, it’s that he’s telling the truth, and that she’s the crazy one.

She was not forced to medicate…that was a choice.
