Jon Bon Jovi’s daughter, Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, 19, was found unresponsive in her college dorm at 2 a.m. yesterday morning after allegedly overdosing on heroin. The Kirkland Police Department found her after receiving a 911 call from Hamilton College in upstate New York. Police then obtained a search warrant and discovered drugs in the dorm. Stephanie (pictured at left with her parents), who was admitted to an undisclosed hospital, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and criminally using drug paraphernalia. Another student, Ian Grant, 21, was also charged with drug possession. The college released the following statement: “On Wednesday, November 14, 2012, members of the Kirkland Police Department arrested two Hamilton College students. One was charged with possession of a controlled substance, 7th degree, and the second was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, 7th degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. All are misdemeanors. In addition to violating state law, the actions alleged to have been committed by the students violate Hamilton College policy. The college is cooperating with the police investigation.” Stephanie has been ordered to appear in court at a later date. ~BJ Lasala

    What a shame.

She’s lucky to be alive, although her parents might kill her.

Lucky girl to be alive. I will bet that her parents will deal with her. Jon has had experience with a band member on drugs and I am sure that band member and Jon will know what to do. Of course the daughter has got to want the help. I pray for that family

    Sad.
Also sad that someone with a clear drug problem is arrested and sent through the “justice” system instead of understanding that this is not so much a criminal issue as it is a health issue. The “war” on drugs is a total sham.

perhaps Jon should have spent more time with his family

Oh he doesn’t care about his family, Barb. He admitted in an interview that he cheats on his wife when he’s on tour. I’m sure his daughter and his other kids were impressed by that.

She’s fortunate to have parents who are financially able to help her deal with her problem. Not so for many others! So tragic that people do drugs in the first place. There’s enough info out there, so as far as I’m concerned YOU are YOUR own problem. Say NO to drugs and stay away from people who try and pressure you into using. They aren’t your friends they want you to be miserable like themselves. Walk away and feel good about doing so. Remeber when they tell you everyone does it, NOT TRUE.I don’t never did never will!I feel sorry for people who think they can use it and not get hooked that’s a fantsy. There’s an old saying YOU are Your Worst enemy. We all have instincts time we all started listening to them!

It’s really too bad that the celebrity of the father makes people think they have the right to pass judgement on the relatives.

Sorta like the Gretzky situation. Gretzky’s daughter was probably taking a page out of Paris Hilton’s book on how to become famous for doing nothing at all.

So Bon Jovi’s 19yr old daughter overdosed on heroin at school and now in hospital. Let’s hope the whole family is ‘Living on a Prayer’ while she is laying in a ‘Bed of Roses’ and that the docs don’t give her any ‘Bad Medicine’. She will ‘Always’ be in her familys hearts & thoughts before she goes out in a ‘Blaze of Glory’. Wonder if the cops have put up a sign that say ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ cuz in the end she says ‘It’s my life!’

Hey Swallow you forgot to add the Kardashians what have they ever done to become famous except have their faces splashed on the front pages. Now they all have their own perfume, clothes lines etc. and getting richer every day, what a shallow world we lilve in.

I never heard that before, Shelly, about Bon Jovi cheating on his wife while he’s on tour…. I always liked him.. not so much now if that is indeed the case. Can’t believe someone would admit to something like that in an interview… almost like bragging. yech.

Let that be your rock bottom, now time to pick yourself up and get clean. Don’t destroy your life of stupid drugs. Why don’t people learn. You can have a great life without that crap. If you need escapism, see a movie, make new friends etc.
