Bond star dies

Lois MaxwellCanadian actress Lois Maxwell, who played Miss Moneypenny opposite both Roger Moore and Sean Connery in 14 Bond films, has died in Australia of cancer at 80. She moved to Australia in 2001 after a health scare while visiting her son. She also leaves behind a daughter. Maxwell was predeceased by her husband, Peter Marriott. Her last film appearance was in The Fourth Angel (2001), opposite Jeremy Irons and Forest Whitaker. She was also known in Canada for her starring role in the CBC TV series Adventures in Rainbow Country.
