Brad Pitt has filed a restraining order against Vitalii Sediuk, who attacked him at the Maleficent premiere on Wednesday night. Sediuk, pictured with police at left, was arrested and booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery in lieu of $20,000 bail. He remains in police custody. Sediuk, 25, was at the premiere without any media affiliation. He formerly worked as a TV reporter for 1+1 TV channel in his native Ukraine, but was fired after putting his head up America Ferrera’s dress last week at the Cannes Film Festival. Galyna Grubliak, a spokeswoman for the network, said in a statement that Sediuk “no longer represents the interests of the company. [The] prank on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival was Vitalii’s personal initiative. The journalist did not report his plans to the channel’s Editorial Office. 1+1 Media Company is sorry for the inconvenience caused to the American actress America Ferrera by the journalist’s behavior.
