Brad Pitt proposed to Angelina at Christmas

By Tribute on April 20, 2012 | 8 Comments

We heard the news and we’ve seen the huge diamond ring. But how did the charming Brad Pitt propose to the elegant Angelina Jolie? A source gave the details about the family-oriented proposal and how it all went down and surprisingly, it happened at Christmas, but the couple kept the engagement secret for months. A source told Life & Style magazine: “Brad had the ring designed last year and made sure it was ready by Christmas because he wanted a romantic Christmas proposal – and he got it. They didn’t announce their engagement sooner because Angie focused so much on promoting In the Land of Blood and Honey. She was very busy with the movie and her Oscar campaign. She also worried that the engagement would take over press on her film and detract from that.” As for how Brad proposed, he reportedly gathered all six children (three biological, three adopted) around Jolie and surprised her with a tiny box. A source said, “Angelina cried and smiled. Everyone hugged once she put [the $500,000 16 carat ring] on. She went around and showed it to each of the kids.” ~Renita Naraine

    Here’s some perspective. That $500,000 ring would help allot more children than the three they adopted.

    Anyone in a stars household would have sign a non disclosure agreement.So how is a tabloid is writing about what happened at a proposal.It’s pure fiction written by the tabloid.

    Nobody Important on April 21, 2012 5:29 AM these 2 spend more money and time on people that need more than they do than anyone in the entire world, if that WAS how much the ring cost they have every right to spend that kind of money on something that seems important to them. nobody has any right dictating how celebs spend their time or money, im sure if most of us were rich we wouldnt be half the people either one of these 2 are.

    @mandee
    Just because theyre charitable doesnt exclude them from being hypocrites.
    The biggest reason the worlds going to hell in a basket is because the rich lost sense of the value of money.

    Did Angelina deserve a nice ring? You bet
    …but $500,000? Give me a break.

    i still dont see how spending their money on themselves makes them a hypocrite. they are rich, they should be allowed expensive things without people thinking they are rotten people because they bought some stuff. i overspend, i spend every cent i make lol. does that make me a bad person?

    I don’t think they’re rotten people. I simply think half a million for a stone is a bit excessive.

    Considering the money these two have, half a million is not the most expensive ring he could have bought her. Houses that celebs live in cost several million. Just half of one million is too much for a ring??? NOT.

    You missed my point. Shocker!!
