Britney Spears was charged Friday with hit and run and driving without a valid license. The actual incident occurred on August 6th and was caught on videotape. Spears hit a parked car, got out to inspect the damage on her own vehicle, and then drove away. The owner of the parked car Spears allegedly hit told to CelebTV.com: “I found out it was Britney Spears who hit my car and I was somewhat amused, sort of shocked, sort of like only this could happen in La La Land,” said Kim Robard-Rifkin. “I’m not asking for money, I’m not asking for a new car, I’m not asking to be paid for this interview. I simply want my car fixed, same as I would fix someone’s car if I had done that.” Spears could get as much as one year in jail on the misdemeanor charges. A hearing has been set for October 10.
