Britney Spears’ hairdresser testified Wednesday in court that the singer told her she was scared of her former manager, Osama “Sam” Lutfi. A restraining order was issued last year to keep Lufti away from Spears, and her father, Jamie Spears, who has legally been in charge of Britney since February 2008, is seeking lengthier restraining orders against both Lufti and Britney’s ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. Hairdresser Roberta Romero said Lutfi repeatedly sent Spears text messages after he’d been told to stay away from her. “She told me she’s scared of him and not to talk to him,” Romero said. Spears’ lawyer Joel Boxer read some of the most recent text messages in court, including one that said “Very close to getting her free now.” Jamie Spears testified that Lutfi, who was living in Britney’s home from December 2007 to February 2008, put drugs in his daughter’s food in an effort to control her. He also allegedly threatened to kill Britney if her parents tried to intervene. Britney, who is not expected to testify in the case, begins her tour for her hit album “Circus” on March 3 in New Orleans.
