Britney Spears’ ex thinks new engagement is fake

There’s one person who isn’t too thrilled about Britney Spearsrecent engagement announcement to her former manager Jason Trawick. Spears’ supposed childhood friend, Jason Alexander, told Us Weekly that he believes the marriage is fake and people are just afraid to say it. “If you look at all the pictures between them there is no connection,” said Alexander. “They look like they are going through the motions.  It seems like a answer to the court thing.” Spears is currently under the conservatorship of her father and the marrigae would shift that responsibility to Trawick. “Sort of a nice way to sew it all up. She marries her handler,” added Alexander. It seems Alexander may be a little biased in the matter. He and Spears spent a short time in wedded bliss when they tied the knot on a whim in a small Vegas chapel in 2004. Their marriage was annulled 55 hours later because the pop singer apparently changed her mind.

On the other hand, Spears’ second husband, Kevin Federline, has openly shared his congratulations for the newly engaged couple. “I’m really happy for her – I think he’s a great guy,” Federline told an Australian magazine. “She’s happy; she’s doing really well. I want to say she’s in a good place.”
