Britney Spears gives up custody battle

The nine-month custody battle-turned media frenzy between Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline has finally come to a conclusion. OK! magazine reports that both Spears and Federline reached a settlement agreement late Thursday night. Mark Vincent Kaplan, Federline’s attorney, outlines the custody terms (pending the approval of the commissioner) for the battling couple’s two sons: “Kevin will retain sole legal and physical custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. Britney will continue to have visitation rights which may increase over time.” But don’t think this is the last we’ll see of Britney in court—until her kids turn 18, she can fight for more custody rights as long as she remains healthy. Britney first lost custody of her children in January following her hospitalization for an apparent mental breakdown.
