Pierce BrosnanEx-Bond star Pierce Brosnan was leaving a mall with his kids when he became annoyed by photographer Robert Rosen. Brosnan turned to him and said, “Why don’t you get a real f**king job.” Rosen says he began compliment Brosnan on his Bond roles. Brosnan responded by punching him in the ribs. According to TMZ.com, a witness said the photographer instinctively reacted by kicking the actor in the stomach. Pics taken after the incident show Brosnan looking none the worse for wear, although the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is looking into it.

Oh well, some stars just don’t want you photographing their kids! I can’t say that I blame them.

“Brosnan responded by punching him in the ribs.”

He then quickly fled the scene in his Aston Martin…

Celebrities like Brosnan make a ridiculous amount of money for doing what? Showing up on a set, being pampered and playing make believe. And they’re saying “Get a real job”? WTF? Why do they think they should be the only ones making tons of money? I don’t see what’s wrong with photographers trying to earn a living by snapping shots. If actors don’t like it, then move to a different city/town where the paparazzi doesn’t hang out. But don’t act like your “job” is so high and mighty and more important than anyone else’s.

Kristin, when you start losing all your privacy for some dumbass-photographer, then you can go and complain..

I’ve worked on movie sets, and these actors work very hard for their money, so you should think before saying stupidities…

  5. Kristin • November 1, 2007 @ 4:15 PM

Well, I’ve been on a lot of movie sets and mostly what actors do is sit around. And I would gladly lose some privacy for the money they make and the hours they put in. They work for a few weeks a year (movie actors). Give me a break. And again, if they want privacy, stop showing up where you know the paparazzi is going to be. There are a lot of actors who don’t get photographed by paparazzi. Wonder why? Cause they don’t go looking for the attention and then get mad when they get it.

  6. Kristin • November 1, 2007 @ 4:17 PM

Oh, and I don’t believe you have worked on any movie sets, because if you had, you wouldn’t say stupid things like they “work very hard for their money.” Give me a break! LMAO! What the hell did you do on a movie set? Because the crew works very hard, and they don’t get pampered like the talent so there’s no way you were ever on a movie set and felt like the actors had it that hard.

True, and they can’t live too far away from their work or they would spend most of their day just commuting. Then they would never get to see their families. They are doing a job that they love and this ‘hassel’ should not have to come along with it. People who think that the paparazzi have the right to do this are the ones who are treating the stars differently than regular people, just with very high paying jobs. If someone followed you and your family around, in your face, taking your pictures and selling them, writing lies about you, etc. you could have them charged.

“stop showing up where you know the paparazzi is going to be.”

At the mall?? With your kids??? WTF???

The hassle of it all alright! Photographers should never bug a celebrity when they are with their children. That’s just plain wrong. That’s a line that should never be crossed.

Let’s get real, there is to much fuss made for actors, if they don’t want all the hassel with people taking pictures then why be in the trade, after all that is what they where striving for before they became famous.
They have to realise it goes with the territory that they chose to work in.

I was in a movie and I found the worst and hardest part was just sitting around waiting for your part!! There is a lot of hard work putting a movie together! I think he had every right to get p188ed at the photogragher but acted in a violent way which isn’t being a good role model for his kids!

The grammar and spelling in the comments on this site is so insanely awful. Read a book sometime.

I’ve got to admit, when I heard that Pierce Brosnan used a profanity in front of his kids, I wasn’t impressed, but that’s the photographer’s version of things and this should be considered. I would also argue that there’s no reason any parent shouldn’t be allowed to protect the privacy of their children, regardless of their occupation. If a stranger took pictures of my kids at the mall, I’d accuse them of pedophilia. I would be disturbed at the idea. I wish there was a law that prevented photographers from publishing photos of celebs children without consent. I can’t say I would blame any parent for behaving the way Pierce Brosnan does in this incident.

Gee! Would that be Sherry again?? (about the grammar & spelling) Hmmmm…….
Well, I don’t know, I think privacy can be expected at your own home, but when you go out in public, well, you’re in public. Expecting privacy in public is like saying that Ashley Olsen pumping that cyclist at a public bar should have had her privacy, I mean after all, they were having sex! So go away Paparazzi!! Photographing someone’s kids isn’t child porn, they were fully clothed I hope. It’s the fans and the public that crave these pictures, and being rich and famous was Pierce’s goal. He’d be in a snit if nobody wanted to take his picture! He had no right to get into physical violence, whether in front of his kids or not. As Karen pointed out, he chose the career and it’s all part of the territory. If we were eating in the same restaurant as Pierce, can most people honestly say that they wouldn’t “bother” him or “intrude on his privacy” for his autograph or to have a few words with him? Or..at least gawk and stare at him while he’s eating?? and…gee, if only we’d had our cameras with us. Paparazzi are just people like you and I, trying to make a living providing what the public wants.

Hooray for Pierce Brosnan!!! Any dad should be able to take his kids to the mall without having cameras in his face. Just because he`s a celebrity shouldn`t make him fodder for the cheap gossip tabloids!!

  17. LadyoftheLAKE • November 2, 2007 @ 12:11 PM

He is a Man and a DAD…. get thoughs cameras away when he is out with his kids…and the smuck should have taken a clue when his first words were get a real job…
DON”T MESS WITH 007….. OR ELSE.

Great stuff and he should have his own personal time with his family, free of Freaks !!

    Cheers

I’m with you, Lady of the Lake – just because someone is famous and ‘gets paid an insane amount of money to play make believe’ does not mean that they should get harassed when they go to a mall with their kids. And how in the heck is that seeking out the paparazzi?! The reality is that 90% of the time the paps find the celebrity, not the other way around. All the paps in LA have to do is swing their camera around on its handle and they’re bound to hit a celebrity.

And if someone is jealous of another’s fame/wealth, doesn’t think they deserve it, and wants to read about AIDS etc. then what the heck are they doing on a movie gossip blog? Go to a different site sweetie.

  20. Nancy • November 2, 2007 @ 5:02 PM

Ha ha ha! Only if I can kick you in the stomach too!! Just kidding!

James Bond at the mall sounds even more preposterous than the invisible car from “Die Another Day.”
