Bruce Springsteen in Western Stars

Legendary musician Bruce Springsteen was arrested for driving under the influence in his home state of New Jersey.

It was revealed Wednesday that on November 14, he was arrested at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. According to TMZ, the singer was cited for DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.

A spokesperson for the National Park Service said: “Springsteen was cooperative throughout the process.” Springsteen has an upcoming court date and is expected to appear in court.

This news comes on the heels of Springsteen’s first Super Bowl ad that premiered on Sunday in which he narrates and appears in the spot for Jeep. The two-minute ad has the singer delivering a patriotic message about hope and unity. The ad has since been taken down. ~Marriska Fernandes

Apparently he registered .02 alcohol, when the legal limit is .08. Your report should state that.

Is there a limit to the level of stupidity allowed in these comments? Cause there’s too many comments that are over the limit.

Drinking and driving is stupid and so is the person who did it. Full stop period. I have spoken with as well as met many people whose families have been destroyed by it. There’s no excuse no matter who you are. Does it surprise me that it was Bruce Springsteen? No, it doesn’t anyone can have an alcohol or drug problem. He has been upfront about an alcohol problem and mental health issues. It does not surprise me as sometimes both go hand in hand. If he fell off the wagon he needs help back on. Maybe this will wake him up. That’s the only good to come from it if any.
