Bryan Singer to direct X-Men prequel

Bryan Singer, who left the X-Men franchise to direct the 2006 movie Superman Returns, has agreed to develop and direct a prequel to his original X-Men movie. Called X-Men: First Class, the movie will focus on the teenage years of the mutant heroes, centering on Charles Xavier and Magneto’s first meeting at the Institute of Higher Learning. This means the X-Men: Magneto movie has probably been pushed to the side, or even shelved. “This story would probably utilize some of the ‘Magneto’ story because it deals with a young Magneto,” Singer explained to The Hollywood Reporter. “So it might supercede that because this would explore that relationship between a young energetic professor and a disenfranchised victim of the Holocaust. The X-Men universe is boundless. These are great characters. And as young characters, they are quite different than the characters we have seen in the contemporary movies.”

We don’t need a prequel. What I don’t get is why they decide to make prequels after many sequels been released. Do they just want to see how much the move will make or, what? I mean, first there was the Batman, then there was Superman and now this??? I cannot comment if I would watch it

Really like the first 4 were not bad enough? They got one or two of the character rights and meshed at least 4 different story lines together. Whats this going to be? How much more can we mess up the X Men universe. I for one will not be watching this.

It’s just another movie of xmen and I just hope they do it right so my ass don’t cramp sitting so long if the movie turns into a flop.

Pretty much just follow the story from the x-men series of the 90s and pull it off with amazing effects and that will be interesting enough and to stop making all these other stupid random storyline changes. Like would people really dislike seeing something in real-life with effects that was seen in the cartoon ? I’d think it would look bomb to not stray away too far from the way x-men really was – probably the best story since they killed off Phoenix is to do Bishop and sequel that into Cable with all their time travel visits to the xmen and suming that off reveiling the real mastermind enemy of Apocalypse !

There you go, the Apocalypse saga was another really good series in the X men story line. However we shouldnt talk about it cause then they will take parts of it and mix it into the young X men movie and just really F it up.

Sorry this is long but I’ve been wanting to say this for a few years:

The last one I Didn’t even bother to go see because the one before that Was BORING!! No real storyline to it. Now that I read above what the “prequel” is going to be like; I will Not be going to that one! I Loved the 1st one I saw and the 2nd one was not so bad(I don’t know if the 2nd one was the one I was Bored with; I never kept track of them), but anyway in xmen who cares if there is a story about ANOTHER romance(at least I don’t). Almost every single movie is saturated with it; it gets too sickening. Can’t you think of something else??

Well, I’ve found a few odd ones that don’t focus on that at all. I mean one of those vampire shows didn’t have her go mushy mushy throughout the movie. Now I remember, it was UnderWorld. Can’t men/women just get on with the action and not concentrate on the “romance” on the screen?? Its Not real anyway!

As regards Underworld, I absolutely Loved the 1st one! Then the second one was Very BORING. About a man being locked up throughout most of his life and then when he grows up he escapes and Then What?? Not much! After that there was not much going on! So thats why I didn’t see the last one with my roommate.

With the Xmen and Underworld there is SO MUCH POTENTIAL WITH THOSE MOVIES!! There are Plenty of Creative people in this world that could have Honestly wrote a Better storyline then these ones. You just have to be patient and look for those people to show up at your interviews and Hire them. If you don’t do something soon then me and others will go see other worthwhile movies instead! I’m a very avid movie goer and I listen to other people’s Reviews and they say basicly what I’m saying.
