Cameraman drowns while filming Jackie Chan movie

Jackie ChanOn the set of Rush Hour star Jackie Chan‘s latest film, cast and crew were left devastated after a cameraman drowned during filming. Jackie, 60, is currently filming Skiptrace, about a Hong Kong detective (Chan) who partners with an American gambler (Johnny Knoxville) in order to take down a notorious criminal. However, filming came to a halt when a vessel capsized.

According to the South China Morning Post, Chan Kwok-hung, 51, died after the 15-metre long vessel carrying the film crew capsized at around 3:00 a.m. only 30 meters off shore from Lantau Island. Other crew members aboard were able to safely swim back to shore. However, Chan Kwok-hung was later found unconscious before being announced dead at the hospital.

Chan Kwok-hung had worked in the industry for more than 20 years. ~Janine Wyslobicky
