Cameron DiazProduction on Cameron Diaz‘s latest movie My Sister’s Keeper has been put on hold until further notice, while she mourns the passing of her father, Emilio Diaz, 58. His death came as a shock — he’d been in good health prior to developing the flu that turned into pneumonia. Diaz issued this statement: “My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family. My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts.” Emilio was supportive of his daughter’s career and even appeared with her in There’s Something About Mary (1998) as a jailbird.

I am deeply sorry to see Camerom loose her father. I am 62 years old.
