Captain America – First Look

These first photos of the upcoming movie Captain America: The First Avenger starring Chris Evans were just released. Evans plays Steve Rogers, who, after being deemed unfit for military service, volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America’s ideals. Check out the images below. The movie, which is written by Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, and Joss Whedon and directed by Joe Johnston, opens July 11, 2011.

I like Chris Evans, but does anyone remember 2 little movies called Fantastic 4?? Maybe a character he played which was on fire and could fly. I’m thinking it’s getting to be too much Marvel Superhero overkill for Chris Evans.
I’m certain with the better quality of superhero movies that have been getting pumped out of Hollywood that this will be a better quality than the other horrible attempt at Captain America (1989 or 1990 wasn’t it?) and I’m sure I’ll watch it, but I will be watching it thinking when is he going to say “flame on!” and where’s the blonde hair?
I’ll watch any movie with Joss Whedon’s name attached to it.
c-dub it was 1991 that craptain america was shot up and cut up and fed to the fishes. just wondering, is it me or does that picture of a buffed up chris evans looks cgi cut and paste? last time i checked, he was a pencil-necked 130 lb soaking wet runt. did they juice him up or body double him?
