Catherine Zeta-Jones completes bipolar treatment

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones Catherine Zeta-Jones has completed her treatment for bipolar II disorder. The Chicago actress checked into a clinic to monitor her ongoing battle with the condition - which can cause high and low mood swings, as well as depression - in April, but she's expected to return home today after successfully finishing her latest round of medical care, according to her husband Michael Douglas. He told People: "She comes home tomorrow. She's doing a really good job of getting balanced. I'm proud of her." Although the 43-year-old star's condition hasn't worsened, Catherine - who has two children, Dylan, 12, and 10-year-old Carys, with Michael - opted to undergo the treatment as a "proactive" measure. In a statement last month, her representative said: "Catherine has proactively checked into a health care facility. Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner." The Welsh beauty first sought medical help for her bipolar disorder in 2011 when she checked into a Connecticut-based mental health facility. At the time, Michael, 68, had been battling throat cancer. Michael said at the time: "It takes a lot of courage to seek help, and I am very proud of Catherine for doing something positive about her situation. It's onwards and upwards for us both."
