Celebs defend Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt in HawaiiRosario Dawson and Anne Hathaway have spoken out to defend newly engaged Jennifer Love Hewitt after unflattering photographs of her in a bikini made her the subject of ridicule. The 28-year-old wrote on her website that she’s happy with her figure, but fears criticism about her size 2 figure will give young girls even more pressure to diet. Sin City star Dawson told People.com, “They’ll make a whole story about it if someone gains five pounds. I think there is a huge obsession with size-zero jeans, and it’s just really scary. It makes me really nervous, because I don’t know how in the world we’re supposed to be that thin unless we’re totally starving and drugging up.” Hathaway added, “I don’t think women should only be defined by their bodies and their weight. It’s a cycle we’ve been in for some time, and I don’t really like it.”

Generally, people only make comments like that to make themselves feel better. It’s a mask for their own insecurities.

What makes it worse is that the majority of the women will never fit a size 2, yet they’re criticizing someone who IS a size 2 for looking fat. Not only are women expected to be unrealistically thin, but then they’re open to even more criticism. We need to focus on health, not appearance.

Okay…she’s being defended by Anne Hathaway and Rosario Dawson…two stick figures…if weight isn’t important then why are they so thin….And please….a size 2….gimme a break…she wished she was a size 2…not with that lard ass

  5. Hot! • December 7, 2007 @ 7:21 PM

she doesnt look bad but theres no way shes a size 2
shes still doable..just not “hot” or “sexy”

not just girls , even guys should try to stay in good shape . why not eat healthy and exercise and fit into size 2 than be a total dumass rebel eat disgusting fast food and cheetos all day and say “im pretty on the inside” because its on the OUTSIDE what BRings a man/woman to you and Whats on the INSIDE helps keep them..

so being a size 0-2 is not a bad thing and its definately hot and a feel good to go say can i try size small in this than saying youy guys carry Size 12?? or 10?? doesnt matter sweety ..10 or 12? same thing.. ( time for you to not shop.. go home do something about your unhealthy eating habits and weight.. u dont want a heart attack at 35 ..and omg no sex… who wants to have sex with a live jiggly piece of meat?

    xo

I was wondering what Fart if you love Celine is thinking about this issue.

I’m 5-foot-eight-inches and I weigh 120 pounds – There’s no way in …. I can wear a size 2. I wear size 7 or 9 (depending on the time of the month). Are sizes calculated smaller in the States?

    She’s a lovely young woman.

Look at her, she’s freaking gorgeous. I don’t know any guy who wouldn’t want a woman like that. She’s not even big enough to say “oh, that girl has some meat on her bones.” It’s an unflattering picture of a woman in great shape. Seriously, whats wrong with people.

    For serious Roger!
She absotively radiant! I think she’s ten times sexier now; although not the best pic, but who cares? I defy anyone to produce a photogenic image every time! They’d most assuredly be pod people.
Blaming society is all well and good, blaming the masogenistic, patriarchal miasma we call humnanity is fine as well… but in all honesty, WE, you and me, are responsible for what we have become.
So live it, love it, have a sandwich with extra mayo.
