Channing Tatum has “zero compassion” for wife

By Alexandra Heilbron on July 15, 2012 | 5 Comments

Channing Tatum recently said during an interview on the British TV show This Morning that he told his wife, Jenna Dewan, to stop waxing. For his role in the movie Magic Mike, in which he plays a male stripper, he revealed that he needed to be hair free for the role, but he couldn’t believe how much it hurt to get waxed by a beautician. “I didn’t want to shave because when I actually did [work as a stripper] I shaved every day, so I just wanted to do it once. That was a big mistake, I’ll never do it [again], I don’t see why you guys do it,” he said with a laugh. “I did have a huge amount of compassion and then after, I told my wife that she doesn’t have to do it anymore and she still does it. So I have zero compassion. I’m like, ‘Let it go. Let everything go. No one needs to go through that pain.'” Channing met Jenna when they co-starred in the 2006 film Step Up. He was asked if he and his Magic Mike co-stars — Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer and Alex Pettyfer — got together to get waxed. He revealed, laughing, “I actually wanted to do that and film it so we could all haze each other. My buddy filmed mine and was making fun of me the whole time.”

That’s the headline you go with for this story?

I too am disappointed. The entire story was a bust.

Usually Tribute is pretty good with headlines and information. This is shameful for a trusted entertainment site. You could have easily made it a cute story about him and his wife, but you mislead your audience and created a false pretense that initially created a negative image on someone who didn’t necessarily deserve it. “AH” you need to get your act together and stick to delivering entertainment news correctly.

Love the story. So cute. And the headline drew me to read it because I know he has a great relationship with his wife. Good job.

Yeah the headline was definitely off.
