Magic Mike star Channing Tatum has been named the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine in their issue that hits newsstands this Friday, November 16. Winning over women in romantic movies such as Dear John and The Vow, and men in action movies like The Eagle and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Channing has also shown he has a talent for comedy, getting big laughs in the hit movie 21 Jump Street. Married to actress Jenna Dewann, when Channing heard he’d been chosen, he told People magazine, “My first thought was, ‘Y’all are messing with me. “I told Jenna after we’d been in the bathtub washing our dogs because they’d gotten skunked,” adding, “She was like, ‘What?'” That’s not to say Jenna disagrees with their choice. She told the magazine: “People know him to be fun and sexy, but they don’t know how emotionally deep and spiritually open he is.
