Channing Tatum spread skin disease

22 Jump Street star Channing Tatum loves being outdoors, but on a recent camping trip he caught poison oak, with the itchy rash quickly spreading to his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum and their daughter Everly, 12 months. During an interview given in April, Jenna said: ''We're going to the [MTV] Movie Awards tonight, but I have to rethink my dress. After this I'm heading to the dermatologist because my husband decided to go camping and bring back poison oak - the perks of living with a man who loves to be outdoors! We're a family of poison oak at the moment. We'll be really sexy on the red carpet tonight.'' The 33-year-old actress is a doting mother to Everly, but insists it is important for the little girl to fit into her parents' lives, rather than them changing theirs to suit their daughter. She told DuJour magazine: ''Kids are life-transformative, but they should fit into your life. You don't want to feel resentful for forgetting about a whole part of yourself. It's tough learning how to balance and multitask; it's a lot of balls to juggle. That's been the biggest learning curve of this year for sure.''

   I couldn’t disagree more. Once you are a parent, you are living for your children. Not the other away around. You have to make sacrifices for them – their well being should be paramount and come second to your needs/wants.

   I only agree to a point. Yes, having children does require a certain amount of sacrifice in order to make sure that their needs are properly met. However, parenthood is just ONE of the hats we wear, it’s not the only one. Yes, we have to give up a lot and rearrange our lives for our children but, we cannot completely forget ourselves in the process. We cannot permit ourselves to get lost in our children’s lives and forget about our own.
