Chantel Jeffries opens up about Justin Bieber relationship

Following Justin Bieber‘s infamous Miami arrest on January 23, the girl who was in the flashy Lamborghini with him attracted an overwhelming amount of attention – attention she later on claimed she didn’t want. Chantel Jeffries, a 21-year-old model, sat down with E! News on Tuesday and opened up about her relationship with the troubled Canadian pop star. Interestingly, as this 2011 mug shot demonstrates, Chantel has a lengthy rap sheet herself, with five arrests to her name. This photo was taken in Onslow County, NC when she was charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon after she reportedly stabbed another woman in the left forearm during a physical altercation.
Despite her consistent appearance by Justin’s side even after his arrest, Chantel, now blonde, insists the two are just friends. “I didn’t date Justin,” she said in the interview. When asked if she had ever kissed him, she stood firmly by her initial statement: “We’re friends. Do you kiss your friends?… Do you sleep in the same bed as your friends?” Chantel sparked even more relationship rumors when she jetted off to Panama with the “Baby” singer after he was released on bail, but she made it clear that any and all rumors are based on “misconceptions.” There’s been speculation that the model hopped on the Bieber ride while it was still hot just for her 15 minutes of fame, but she flatly denied this in the interview, saying: “Oh my gosh. If anything, you could say I’m a GOAL digger. I have my own goals and I’m focused on those.” ~Yara Matar
