Charlie Sheen given psychiatric evaluation

Following a psychiatric evaluation, Charlie Sheen was discharged from the hospital where he was taken yesterday after police, responding to reports of a ”mentally unstable individual,” found him drunk and naked in a suite at the historical Plaza hotel. Charlie reportedly flew into a rage when he discovered his wallet missing and trashed the suite. He’d been out partying and reportedly returned to his room with a hooker, who locked herself in the bathroom. TMZ claims the star was “emotionally disturbed” when he got to hospital. However, his representative claims Charlie “had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication,” saying, “Charlie Sheen has been discharged from a hospital in N.Y. and is returning to L.A. today,” the representative added. “Everything else is speculation.” His ex-wife, Denise – who was staying in a separate room with their two children, has spoken about the incident. “Thank God our girls are young enough, they’re five and six and I do my best to protect them from certain things,” she told television show LX New York. “This is stuff that obviously they’re too young to understand… I want to keep what happened last night private… If Charlie wants to discuss it, that’s his choice, and out of respect for him, that’s his decision.”

Charlie should have a man to man talk with Robert Downey Jr. He might have some insights as to “where do I go from here”

Why are the authorities constantly so easy on this guy? Because he’s a celebrity? They’re doing the same thing they did to Lindsay Lohan when they never charged her no matter what she did — enabling. It was a shock to her when she was finally held accountable for her actions. It’s time for Charlie to get help, before he murders someone.

He needs to be institutionalized. Not rehab, where he can get out if he wants out, or get out to work. An institution, where he can get psychiatric help.
