Charlie Sheen to ask for full custody in court today

Charlie Sheen will appear in court today to request full custody of his two-year-old twin sons, Bob and Max, with ex-wife Brooke Mueller. He’s expected to argue that Mueller (pictured at left with the twins and her friend, Kathy Hilton) is not capable of properly taking care of the twins due to her ongoing drug addiction. She was spotted last week trying to unload jewelry and a stereo at a pawn shop before checking into a drug rehabilitation center. She refused to take a drug test on Friday, even though it’s a requirement of her custody settlement. Meanwhile, Charlie’s first ex-wife, Denise Richards, who has two daughters with Charlie, has offered to take care of the twins while he’s on the road with his My Violent Torpedo of Truth tour. UPDATE: The judge ruled in favor of Brooke Mueller retaining legal and physical custody.

Has Charlie has recent drug tests which prove that he is not on drugs or excessively drinking? If the answer is no then I hope that this doesn’t ever make it to trial.

thats really nice of denise, i really hope she gets to have them for a while, she seems like a good mom.

germain, his kids will remind him when they want food 😛

l1feless, i think maybe he may have considered that and sobered up in preparation for this hearing…i really hope if he gets the kids it changes his life and his attitude, how can anyone raise children in the state charlie is in?

Mandee…I find that last question of yours the most important and also the most concerning. I hope the court takes that into consideration. How can someone in his state right now raise children? I think the same question must be asked of Charlie’s now ex as well. Even if he is now acting more normal and has temporarily stopped abusing drugs or alcohol or both he seemingly has not dealt with the real issue as to WHY he was abusing them in the first place. What sane person walks around calling people trolls? and more over who just walks away from a million dollar paycheck per episode for a hit TV show and not have another gig lined up? (and no this Torpedo of Truth tour is not a real long term gig)

L1feless, His tour is not a long term gig, but the income he gets from it will most certainly be. He can afford to sit on his ass for years to come, that’s why he’s so cocky. He was paid 2 millions / episode for his show in his 7th season. Granted, he wasn’t making this much at first but you have to imagine that he his a wealthy man. If he wasn’t, he would have fallen in line and reported back to the set in a New York minute.

Germain this is true but a suitcase full of cocaine is not a cheap purchase. HE admitted openly to doing this. I believe it was called his 3-day bender. One could have argued that Nicolas Cage could have sat on his ass for years to come with all of his successes. Yet here were are and he is flat broke. Rational behavior and addiction do not go hand-in-hand I’m afraid.

Sheen has just created a persona for the media, so he can exploit how retarded the system is by making tons of money doing a half a$s tour, and show everyone how easy it is for the SHEEP to listen to what they put out. “They” being the media, and the “SHEEP” being us who believe all this hype/bull. Its obvious because if you take off the judgement glasses, you can see from video’s of him with his kids he truly loves them, and is actually a good parent.

@L1feless is Nicolas Cage actually broke? I thought he just owed a ton a millions in back taxes. That doesn’t mean hes broke per se, just that hes been avoiding paying big brother.

L1feless on April 20, 2011 10:43 AM oh i agree with you completely. i wonder what put him in such a bad place?

I’m so glad it worked out. Not that Brooke is a great parent (from what I’ve read), but I think her parents are looking after the kids.

@TheTruth, Cage filed for bankruptcy in 2009, that’s why he says yes to any scripts he reads and making such crappy movies lately. He had a lavish lifestyle, bought all kinds of stupid expensive things.

Cages lavish purchases have left his checking account running on empty. Nicolas owns a jet, two yachts, three castles, and owns two islands in the Bahamas; he also has a fleet of fifty sports cars, as well as a number of mansions. But the most bizarre purchase came in 2007, when the star outbid Titanics DiCaprio for a skull claimed to be from a prehistoric beast.

Charlie on the other hand, he spends his money on drugs and hookers which can be expensive, but when you have millions, you can last a while. With all his connections, I don’t think he’s paying street prize.

@Germain ah ok, thanks for the info. Let’s be honest though, Cage has always been in some pretty bad movies, or maybe that’s just his overacting I’m thinking of 😉

Cages purchases..most of them are assets. Most of those assets are income producing assets that can be sold or rented. He’s far from bankrupt..put it that way. On the other hand, Sheens purchases of drugs and one hand, out the other, GONE.

I don’t care what any of them spend their cash on. They can snort and drink and inject all they want..but they should never get full custody of their children under those circumstances..EVER!

not having a clue what Cage’s purchases would amount to, apparently a number of high end and perhaps foolish purchases reported…but re above article, feel both Sheen and Mueller, unfortunately like soooooo many others in our midst, fall extremely short of ideal parents. only hope these wee kiddies will have the example of a truly responsible adult in their many years ahead…

    Yeah..unlike yours, lmao 🙂
