Chris Brown sent death threats

By Alexandra Heilbron on June 12, 2009 | 31 Comments

Chris BrownChris Brown has been receiving death threats since his alleged beating of ex-girlfriend Rihanna during Grammy award weekend, and so he’s hired a bevy of bodyguards. Whenever he now goes out in public, Brown has in his presence three very visible bodyguards, but there are reportedly always three or four others who are ‘‘in cognito,’’ a longtime Los Angeles Police Department insider told the Chicago Sun Times, adding that at least one or two are women, ‘‘but who are easily as tough as any man.’’ The source told the paper that it’s believed the threats are coming from a ‘‘group’’ (though authorities say it could easily be just one person) calling itself the ‘‘Women’s Protection Action League.’’ Brown is apparently ‘‘totally paranoid’’ about the threats on his life and has become obsessed with his security. He’s afraid the potential assassin could be disguised as a paparazzi.

He ( Chris Brown ) deserves to be very paranoid. And maybe a good beating to go with it. He is a ass!

  2. itzmuggins@sympatico.ca • June 12, 2009 @ 8:20 AM

First he is alleged not convicted. Secondly, if it is true then it is his first offense and he will need serious counselling and help to stop it. With counselling people can change – believe I know first hand. Let’s use your rationale – someone beats someone so let’s get someone else to beat up the perp and kill him! Makes sense – not! I bet you go to church too!

itzmuggins@sympatico.ca: Don Taylor never said “and kill him!” And as for your “he is alleged not convicted”, there were 2 people in that car and she didn’t beat the sh!t out of herself. Chris has very good reason to watch his back. I think it’s hilarious and he deserves nothing less. One would think he would be smarter though than to hire two female bodyguards…makes him an even easier target. LMFAO!

    GO ‘WOMEN’S PROTECTION ACTION LEAGUE’!!

  6. mandee • June 12, 2009 @ 12:03 PM

why would he hire WOMEN body guards? why would any woman defend him? what are they gonna do when he beats THEM? lol. he deserves to be paranoid and scared.

  7. Nancy • June 12, 2009 @ 12:54 PM

The female bodyguards he hired would kick HIS @$$!! LOL.

  8. whatever • June 12, 2009 @ 12:56 PM

Good. Down to all women beaters.

  9. demigod • June 12, 2009 @ 3:13 PM

    All part of that culture.

  10. Vales • June 12, 2009 @ 3:21 PM

I have no pity for him. Living in fear?? Hope so.

Is Chris Brown finally getting a little taste of the terror he was inflicting into his girlfriend?
Does anybody reading this article think that he only beat her once?

God knows how long Rihanna was going to put up with this bully. What happened to her was tragic, but at least she got to shut it down.

It is a state of mind people, please don’t bother saying that she could have gotten out before this last extreme beating. Some women stay for years and years living with this kind of cruelty and misery, and they never get out.

No wonder this WOMENS PROTECTION ACTION LEAGUE is boiling mad.

By the way, I really don’t believe for a minute that they will actually harm Chris Brown, but he is going to try to play the victim to the max. It is all an act. His publicist must have cooked up this idea to get people on his side before the trial. Please don’t fall for it, he doesn’t deserve any sympathy. It is not “alleged”; he behaved worse than an animal, pure and simple. Now he has to be a man, grow a pair, and take the consequences.

What is this nonsense about pleading “not guilty”?
To treat another human being like he did is just…detestable.

    There are no excuses.

We should not care if he saw his mother getting beaten, because that should have made him try harder not to do what that other despicable abuser did.
Chris Brown should apologize publicly to Rihanna, and beg for mercy.
He did NOT even have the c-o-j-o-n-e-s to do that!

Shame, shame, shame, Chris. What I do not understand is why doesnt his mother tell him to? Surely she remembers what she went through?

  12. Khristopher • June 12, 2009 @ 3:52 PM

He’s not guilty until proven so. People love witch hunts in 2009 far too much. It’s scary.

  13. Diane • June 12, 2009 @ 4:03 PM

Well I agree with Mandee that Chris Brown should be paranid and scared and he need to go for counselor about all he is keeping inside and he should talk to someone that knows albout what’s he did and no WOMEN SHOULD GO THOUGHT THAT AND CHRIS BROWN SHOULD GO OUT WITH ANYONE WITHOUT GOING FOR COUNSELOR.

  14. jo • June 12, 2009 @ 4:05 PM

He’s stupid kid he should pay a visit to prison but he shouldn’t die he’s not proven guilty yet (I’m not defending him I think he did it)as a society we can’t respond to violence with violence do you think thats what kids should learn? someone beats you up so kill them no make them go through legal punishment

  15. josh • June 12, 2009 @ 4:59 PM

    thats freaky

  16. kittie1973 • June 12, 2009 @ 5:00 PM

I am a survivor of domestic violence, and i feel that nobody has the right to lay their hands on someone in anger whether it be man, woman or child. Everyone now a days are so stressed and angry all the time, i can see our futures of respect and equal rights for men and women alike…flying out the window! I see violence and rage and abuse everyday, and i can say that the futures of our children seem bleak when i look at the news and even outside my own window. We need education and harder punishments for abuse of all forms, whether it be physical, mental, sexual… on the young, the old, women, men or on our four legged friends. These are hard times and it seems these hard times need some drastic measures! Be kind to each other please!

I hope he gets whats coming to him. I have old fashioned ideas about justice. Aristotle argues that, justice is , as it were, all about giving one ‘what be their due’.
i like this definition and I hope Chris Brown gets hs due.

  18. jay • June 12, 2009 @ 5:29 PM

25 for life and get rady for them guy mans in prison

  19. tributegirl • June 12, 2009 @ 5:57 PM

The title makes it sound like he was sending death threats, not receiving them.

  20. Carol • June 12, 2009 @ 9:02 PM

He was receiving them, and it could be a ploy to play the victim, I’ll agree with that. I also think he should be scared, Nancy is right, she didn’t beat herself up, not that bad, that’s for sure. He needs to get something for his own punishment and to put the message out there, we will not take domestic violence.

  21. demigod • June 12, 2009 @ 9:03 PM

I sincerely hope Chris Brown gets his ass beat.

  22. Carol • June 12, 2009 @ 9:04 PM

why is it that we put Martha Stewert in jail for something that only amounted to a miniscule portion of her fortune and this guy might only get a slap on the wrist. As much as I don’t like Martha, jail should be primarily for the people who commit violent crimes. (yes Martha should’ve been punished, but the system is a bit backwards, she gets 4 months, OJ gets off…)

  24. Nancy • June 12, 2009 @ 9:30 PM

Hahaha…I was wondering. I read that and thought, WTF? 😀

  25. Nancy • June 12, 2009 @ 9:30 PM

Someone tried to duplicate my name last night on the Britains Got Talent article, too.

  26. mandee • June 12, 2009 @ 10:11 PM

nancy, i sure hope they could kick his @$$ if he tries anything, or else that would defeat the purpose of hiring them to save him in the first place lol…i agree with everyone thats posted pretty much, but i especially liked lizzies and kitties posts.

  27. mandee • June 12, 2009 @ 10:12 PM

oh, and i was wondering…would any of us have been soo quick to care or to read this article if it was called “chris brown received death threats” ? i know i personally wouldnt have cared and i probably wouldnt have even visited to see WHY. we already KNOW why.

  28. tributegirl • June 13, 2009 @ 3:57 PM

I still would have read the article, but with more of a smile on my face!

  29. KR • June 13, 2009 @ 5:05 PM

Three or more bodyguards… I guese hes only tough when hes pounding on a women.

  30. mandee • June 13, 2009 @ 9:21 PM

thats the ONLY time any woman beater is tough.

  31. papierblanc • June 13, 2009 @ 9:53 PM

I wish I could give him the same he did to Rihana with a little extra. Watch your back Chris. But don’t worry, I am not a killer, I prefer you stay alive and suffer longer.
