Chris Hemsworth punches co-star in face

Chris Hemsworth was reportedly “asked” to punch his The Avengers co-star in the face to make fighting scenes look more authentic. The Australian actor plays Thor in the highly anticipated movie and Tom Hiddleston plays the villain, Loki. The pair were producing an unconvincing fight scene until Hiddleston came up with a fool-proof plan to make it look more realistic. “Chris Hemsworth punched me in the face, but I asked him to do that, so I forgive him,” said Hiddleston in an interview with E! Online. “We were doing the fight scene and [director] Joss Whedon was saying, ‘Guys, I feel like it’s just really, well, it just needs to be more. I’m just not really feeling it,'” adding, “So we’re trying to do it, and I was like, ‘Chris, just punch me!’ It was great, it looks amazing.” The Avengers hits theaters May 4. ~Graeme Mollison
