Chris Hemsworth’s wife gives birth

It’s official: Thor is a daddy. Chris Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky, celebrated her first Mother’s Day on Sunday after giving birth to their daughter two days earlier. According to People magazine, Pataky welcomed their daughter, India Hemsworth, in a London hospital on Friday while her husband promoted his summer action-thriller Snow White and the Huntsman. Before skyrocketing to fame in the record-breaking blockbuster The Avengers, the Australian heartthrob met his wife in 2010, and they married the following March. Pataky told Hola! Magazine that being pregnant with their child was a dream come true for her. “Having the person that you love by your side and starting a family with them is the best thing that can happen to you in this life, you can’t ask for more.” The birth of his child didn’t give Hemsworth much time off however, as he returned to work today, joining a press conference in Sussex to promote his new movie. ~Kyle Sharp
