Christian Bale isn’t too pleased about rumors predicting that Robin will appear in the next Batman movie. “If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I’ll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work,” he told StarPulse. Robin, Batman’s young sidekick, appears not only in the Batman comic books, but was included in the 1960’s TV series and the motion pictures Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. He was not in Batman Begins, starring Bale, and is also not seen in the upcoming Batman sequel, The Dark Knight, opening July 18. Heath Ledger, who died shortly after playing The Joker in The Dark Knight, will be honored in the film’s credits, along with Conway Wickliffe, a special effects technician who was killed when a car he was in crashed during a stunt test-run for the film.
