Christian SlaterNow that his children are seven and nine, Christian Slater, 39, decided it was high time he finished high school. He told Parade magazine: “High school was not something that I remotely took seriously.” As the son of a casting director, he was playing regular roles on television by the age of seven. “And now I’ve got these kids, so it’s like . . . what am I going to do?” Slater admits, “I had to go to a high school classroom with a bunch of kids getting their GED [General Education Development diploma] . . . it ended up that I squeaked by.” His children are with ex-wife Ryan Haddon, whom he divorced in 2006. Slater currently stars in the new NBC-TV series My Own Worst Enemy.

Love him or hate him, In my opinion that was a good example for his children. He’s definitely not the richest movie star out there, but I’m sure he has a few coins. Point being he most likely doesn’t need high school to fall back on , but starting what you finish is an important lesson for us to teach our next in line – especially when it comes to doing your very best in all you set out to do. And on a different and unrelated note:
Anyone remember the character he played in “Heathers”? It wil keep me up at night if I don’t get the name…..
