Christina Aguilera makes big-screen debut in burlesque film

christina_aguileraSinger Christina Aguilera will play her first ever big-screen role in the upcoming musical Burlesque. The musical is about a small-town girl who moves to Los Angeles to become a star, and ends up working at a burlesque club. Aguilera will get to show off her acting and dancing talents in the film, which has the producers thrilled. “I couldn’t be more excited, as this was a project written with [Aguilera] in mind,” Screen Gems President Clint Culpepper told Variety. The film begins shooting late this year, after Aguilera’s new album is released. In addition to putting out multi-platinum albums, Aguilera has endorsements with Versace and Mercedes Benz, among others, and has lent her voice to movie soundtracks such as Moulin Rouge and Shark Tale. She sang in the Rolling Stones documentary Shine A Light, but has never performed onscreen as anyone but herself. ~Meryl H.

I actually like her…very talented. She has a very strong voice with complete control over it. She’s very versatile with her music and looks. I’ll go see Burlesque, Im looking forward to seeing her acting skills.

I like her too, Anon, think she is very talented…but hey, could she be in danger of a CAS visit or at the very least a full-fledged Tribute Posters onslaught on her being an unfit parent for taking on such a role…hopefully she keeps her legs crossed at all times in all photo shoots…

hey, I heard a bizarre report about finding some eyeballs “on the other side of the tracks” this morn….

Haha, that’s nice, demigod….because I’m not trying to “fool anyone”. Why would I be trying to fool people about MY life? As for Jo-Anne…nope, it wasn’t me and things were fine on here for the last 3 or 4 days without you…perfect, actually! As for my “best option” being single..? Nope again, it’s a wonderful choice. Love it! My kids get 100%. It’s awesome. I always was very independent.
