Courtney Love loses custody of daughter

Custody of Frances Bean Cobain, 17, the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain, has been given temporarily to Cobain’s mother, Wendy O’Connor, and his sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain in Los Angeles Superior Court. No mention of Love was made in the court filing. Love’s lawyer, Keith A. Fink, told people.com, “This is simply about Frances preferring to live with her grandmother at this time.” O’Connor was previously granted custody of Frances in 2003, when Love was arrested for drug possession. Love won custody back in 2005 after proving she was drug free. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last year, Frances said of her paternal grandmother: “She’s probably the person I respect most out of anybody in the world.” ~Alexandra Heilbron
I believe this outcome is for the best. She sure looks like her daddy!

Well, she’s 17, custody won’t be an issue for very much longer.
still, though, you gotta give Courtney Love SOME credit. Frances Bean is an ANGEL compared to most Hollywood youngsters especially considering who her parents are. She seems to down to earth with a good head on her shoulders. I don’t know if that has anything to do with Love but if we can’t credit her for raising her child well at least we can credit her for not screwing her up!

I give Courtney no credit! Obviously Frances Bean has been surrounded by very grounded, hard working, blue collar people (Kurt’s mother and sister)that have kept her grounded! “Gypsy” is obviously only thinking about Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie; but most young adults of famous people are quite grounded, successful and for the most part stay out of trouble. Examples of this being Will Smith’s son who is a smart successful football player. Donald Trump’s daughter is a very successful business women who manages to stay out of any negative tabloids. Tom Hanks son is making his own way in the acting business in films such as Orange County. And many Pro athletes children have gone on to follow in their parents footsteps without getting into trouble. So, I would not be so quick to give Courtney any credit and I would disagree that most Hollywood youngsters are trouble makers. It seems that every time people think of a Hollywood youngster the first person to come to mind is that embarrassing slut Paris Hilton. She is the minority that has slept with a majority!
Actually David, it was ke who said that, Gypsy just agreed. I kinda agree too…as ke said “considering who her parents are”, which is true, 2 rockers…both junkies nonetheless. Tom Hanks son was not brought up in that kind of environment, neither was Will and Jada’s son, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and definitely not Ivanka Trump (or whatever her name is).
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter….is in the same boat as Francis Bean, seems to be doing quite well…seems to be.
