Dallas Howard rejected role in first Twilight

brycedallashowardApparently, Bryce Dallas Howard, daughter of director Ron Howard,  was always the first choice to play villainous vampire Victoria in the original Twilight movie, according to director Catherine Hardwicke.   The actress recently joined the cast of the franchise’s third installment, Eclipse, taking over from Rachelle Lefevre, who stars in as the bad vamp Victoria in Twilight and the upcoming sequel New Moon.

Twilight director Hardwicke admits Dallas Howard was always producers’ top pick but says  star initially rejected the part. She says, “I know we originally asked BDH (Bryce Dallas Howard) to do the first movie but she thought it was too small a part at that time.”

Hardwicke admits she sympathizes with Lefevre, who was dropped from the picture after a dispute over scheduling with another movie role, but insists she only knows about what has been reported in the media since she was sidelined in favor of Chris Weitz to direct the sequels. She adds, “Of course I cast (Lefevre), so I wish (producers at Summit Entertainment) could have worked out something. I wasn’t involved in the negotiations, so I don’t know the details.”

Lefevre is now preparing to take her former studio bosses to court over her axe from the money-spinning franchise.

sooo she thought the part was “too small” (and probably not good enough for her)

and now that a good actress that was basically unknown (and Canadian) rocks the role and brings it to life with that small part (because ppl havent seen the second one yet but they liked her enough in the first), now Bryce wants it? After someone else worked for it?

    Please.

    so dumb.

SO THE ROLE WASN’T SAFE OR POPULAR ENOUGH FOR HER THE FIRST TIME AROUND AND NOW THAT IT IS A VERY POPULAR MOVIE AND HAS SEQUELS SHE WANTS IN.

so she wouldn’t accept it when the role was “too small” for her(because she’s so huge) but now that the role is big in the last film the characters going to have a ton of screen time she wants in and the actress that totally kicked ass gets fired right before she gets to become a main role

I hope the film flops cause of her

She is still “unknown” enough that no part really should be too small, how selfish, sounds like she has a real strong sense of entitlement.

What has she done, like 3 movies and she thinks she was to big of a star to take a minor role in a movie. Talk about being full of them self!

look at what she’s wearing. this b***ch can’t even dress herself so I doubt she has the intelligence to make a deal.
I bet daddy(Ron FREAKIN Howard) is making all the deals.
