Daniel Craig nasty to Kristen Stewart

On The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia, when Daniel Craig was asked whether Kristen Stewart would make a good Bond girl, he replied, “Would she make a good Bond girl? No, she’s in Twilight.” However, he quickly took it back, saying, “No, I’m being nasty. It’s only because the film (Skyfall) is coming out at the same time (as Breaking Dawn – Part 2), we’re in direct competition. I’m sure she’d make a great Bond girl.” Kristen previously has been asked the same question about being a Bond girl and replied, “I would love to read a few graphs of the script. I choose my roles really instinctually. I would really have to connect with the material,”  later joking, “As long as I get to have a gun. Yes, hell yeah.”  ~Luxy Hariharan

I know lumber with more personality than this woman…she is as interesting as watching grass grow…she is a exciting as paying taxes…no way could she pull off being a Bond girl…no way.

  2. JB • November 22, 2012 @ 10:54 AM

I have seen turnips with more life in them, then her.

  3. Tyde • November 22, 2012 @ 11:43 AM

Who are you people to judge? Just because she isn’t fake like a lot of other celebrities she’s boring? I think it’s really funny how she doesn’t give a crap about what people think, I respect her for it.

Can you cyberbullies find something else to do, please?

  4. m&m • November 22, 2012 @ 11:52 AM

id rather watch paint dry than anything with her in it…

  5. Kim • November 22, 2012 @ 11:52 AM

Never having watched a full twilight movie or any interview she has ever done. I really can’t see her being a bond girl. I can’t recall any other movies she’s ever down other than snow white ( or whatever it was called). Maybe if she showed more personality or smiled once in awhile people might change their minds about her.

  6. hairbag • November 22, 2012 @ 12:25 PM

Kim you nailed it ! totally agree

  7. Jay • November 22, 2012 @ 12:31 PM

I though bond girls were supposed to be good looking?
Besides she is a terrible actress. I guess she isn’t really being fake, she is more clueless then anything.

  8. Pam • November 22, 2012 @ 12:46 PM

oh hell no…that would ruin it for me much the same the woman in the 3rd transformers movie

  9. Ursula • November 22, 2012 @ 2:09 PM

My grandmother has more charisma than Ms. Stewart god rest her soul.

  10. Bob • November 22, 2012 @ 2:18 PM

What’s there to ‘read’ about being a Bond girl. You’re suppose to look beautiful & sexy and take your place behind Bond who takes center stage.

  11. Jeff • November 22, 2012 @ 2:39 PM

@Tyde – No, don’t you dare throw the term “cyberbully” around so liberally. There is a HUGE difference in having an opinion on a person and sharing it, and bullying a person to the point of damage. People such as yourself who grasp onto a newly cliched term and toss it around at every “grey zone” instance makes me ill. People are allowed to have an opinon on her and if they say that she is as exciting as watching paint dry, it is IN NO WAY cyberbullying.

Personally, I find her attractive and like some of the things she has been in but I wouldn’t say she has the sex appeal for a bond girl.

  12. jess • November 22, 2012 @ 2:58 PM

@ Jeff…it doesn’t have to cause damage to be considered “bullying”! And yes, everyone can and should have an opinion, but ncalling names is not an opinion…it is childish and pointless. Would it be considered to be acceptable if it were directed towards you or one of your loved ones? Would you still stand by your comment…”It hasn’t cause damage? And how can you speak for KMs. Stewart? It may cause her pain to be talked about in these ways!

  13. Sol • November 22, 2012 @ 3:00 PM

Another BS headline from Tribute. “Daniel Craig Nasty to Kristen Stewart” should actually read “Daniel Craig Makes a Small Harmless Joke and Acts Like a Perfect Gentleman to Kristen Stewart”.

@Jeff – Take it easy, dude, you sound like a cyberbully.

  14. Rwh78 • November 22, 2012 @ 3:27 PM

You guys know nothing about movies. Maybe check her imbd bio before saying she can’t act in “anything but Snow White”, I don’t know if she would make a good Bond girl or not she isn’t epic looking enough but she most certainly can act. Doesnt it suck not having any idea which side of your body is your ass and which is your head. Lol.

  15. O'Neill • November 22, 2012 @ 3:38 PM

Kristen’s acting style worked for many of her past roles of the angst-ridden teenager but as she’s growing up, she’s not growing as an actor. Snow White could have been epic had it not been for her part which left me wanting more from her. I’m sorry but there are far more talented and attractive women out there who deserve the chance. Why she keeps getting paid to act is beyond me. She’s not comfortable in her own body and it’s very apparent. As a Bond girl, she would need to be confident, sexually aggressive and strong. I don’t see any of those qualities in Kristen Stewart.

Oh, and I agree with Jeff about how liberal people are being about the term ‘cyberbullying.’ It’s being thrown around too much. It’s a serious issue and the term should not be used lightly.

  16. Snepts • November 22, 2012 @ 4:03 PM

She could be the new M.

  17. Ray • November 22, 2012 @ 4:04 PM

A bond girl needs to be attractive, unfortunately KS doesn’t fit into that category.

  18. Magicq22 • November 22, 2012 @ 4:06 PM

Kristen Stewart a possible bond girl? One more reason not to see the next bond movie.

  19. KelSO • November 22, 2012 @ 4:08 PM

So she says “I choose my roles really instinctually. I would really have to connect with the material” but in another tribute article I read she was desperate for a job. You should be lucky they even consider you for a movie Kristen!

  20. Craig007 • November 22, 2012 @ 4:13 PM

She was doing so great until she signed to star in those horrible horrible twilight movies.

  21. Mr.Bean • November 22, 2012 @ 4:46 PM

Even though I am aware Kristen Stewart is a hideous old bat who looks like she’d had a cactus lodged up her backside, she might just well make a good bond girl.

  22. CrazyGeorge • November 22, 2012 @ 4:48 PM

Me: I can’t sleep. I can’e stop thinking about naked women. What about you?
    You: Kristen Stewart
Me: Well, whatever turns you on!

  23. Trevor • November 22, 2012 @ 4:52 PM

It is too bad the she does so many drugs. I hate to think of what it is doing to her.

  24. BM • November 22, 2012 @ 4:57 PM

Well I do believe everyone has a right to their opinion. If you read the Twilight books I think Kristen was the perfect choice for Bella Swan. Okay I like her, what I didn’t like, that she cheated on R Pattinson but then again we all make mistakes. Just hope she learned a lesson

  25. Jeff • November 22, 2012 @ 5:04 PM

@jess – I was being conservative when I mentioned “to damage” Bullying is a very broad and subjective term, I know, but unfortunately it is used as a catch all for something negative. As for your questions to me, no, name calling has no effect as you need to first care about the other people (or person) and his/her/their opinion. Something I have preached gently to my children. One of my proudest moments was when my daughter during the dinner table told us that two boys at school were teasing her because she has a gap in her front teeth. She laughed at the table and said some of the names were funny. I spoke to her afterwards and asked if they hurt her feelings and she told me not in the least as it didn’t matter what they said because she didn’t care. She said if her best friend said something maybe she would be a bit sad. I know not everyone is able to have this type of confidence but the reality is there needs to be a fine line between watching sensitive people’s feelings and being able to express your own (whether they are mature, constructive or plain dumb it shouldn’t matter).
This is just my opinion — if you have another opinion that is cool with me. As for your comment @Sol – yes, I used to bully and be bullied so I know what it’s like on both sides of the fence.

Bond “girls” were somewhat one-dimensional…. mostly satellite orbiting planet Bond. I guess they were mostly good-looking, but I can hardly remember any of them…. I do, however, remember all the Bonds. I am sure Kristen Stewart could be a Bond girl; they all have tons of make-up, costuming and creative camera work anyway…

  28. James • November 22, 2012 @ 5:51 PM

@Jeff, your an idiot. And as for your daughter, she’s faking it. You know that old saying, sticks and stones can break my bones, but words cannot hurt me, it’s a bunch of crapp. Words hurt, whether or not your daughter admits it to you. She is at a fragile age now where she can’t make sense of the world around her, eventually the teasing will foster, and grow and hit her hard like a ton of bricks at a later stage in life. You are not much of a father if you can’t figure that out. And speaking of which, you are a grown man, and a father, trashing talking behind a computer, get a fu*** life bro.

  30. Craig007 • November 22, 2012 @ 5:54 PM

@Dee55 I didn’t think Halle Berry’s performance om Die Another Day was one-dimensional. I was excited to see her hot bod more than anything.

  31. DonkeyKong • November 22, 2012 @ 5:56 PM

I think Daniel Craig was just being polite. Kristen Stewart would make an awful bond girl with her lousy acting. Totally ruin the Bond experience for me, then again, the last two bond films weren’t all that either.

  32. DonkeyKong • November 22, 2012 @ 5:58 PM

@Oscar, I like how you think.

  33. DonkeyKong • November 22, 2012 @ 5:58 PM

@Oscar, I like how you think.

  34. Biff Donut • November 22, 2012 @ 6:15 PM

Sorry, but you have to be good looking with a rockin’ body, don’t you to play Ursula Andress? “Am I missing something?” Halle Berry’s bikini asks.

  35. Kissofdeath • November 22, 2012 @ 6:33 PM

    Who cares???

  36. FionaK • November 22, 2012 @ 6:38 PM

I think it was a little rude of Daniel Craig to say that, even if it was a joke. I think he truly feels threaten by Twilight’s impact on his movie.

  37. Ted • November 22, 2012 @ 6:43 PM

People are making too much of this pointless useless interview answer. There are wars in the middle east, starving children in Africa, economic crisis, murders, abuses, drug abuse, carnage, and human rights violations. I think it’s time people make an effort to give attention to real life issues, and not worry about this nonsensical temporary constructs.

  38. Convoy • November 22, 2012 @ 6:58 PM

@Ted maybe you shouldn’t waste your time judging other people and start making a change yourself. “Be the change you want to see”–Ghandi. Think about it bro.

  39. Convoy • November 22, 2012 @ 7:00 PM

I seen the new bond movie, it didn’t live up to the hype. Maybe it needs more vampires and werewolves. Think how awesome that would be.

  40. Alison • November 22, 2012 @ 7:01 PM

It doesn’t take brains to be a bond girl, I think KS would fit in fine.

  41. Freshprince • November 22, 2012 @ 7:03 PM

    This is wrong.

  42. Stephanie • November 22, 2012 @ 7:17 PM

@FionaK Do you honestly think Craig or Stewart care about whether BD Part 2 beats out Skyfall or vice versa?? Either way both get paid ALOT for their respective movies. Also the demograph of audience for both Twilight and Bond is completely different. Did you know 75% of the audience for Skyfall was 25 years old and up? Twilight is mostly under 25. So there’s no real competition except the movie companies (MGM v.s warner bros) Anyways reading this thread was more entertaining than the actual article it pertained to. I think it’s funny what both Craig & Stewart said and I think they were both joking. Ligten up people!!!

  43. Fionak • November 22, 2012 @ 7:41 PM

You really did your research. You must have a lot of time on your hands. Why don’t you do something productive with your life instead of trying to prove me wrong. I was merely expressing my thoughts, so screw you skank.

  44. walter • November 22, 2012 @ 8:38 PM

Yeah right, Bond girl my big toe! Would you really give this woman the role that has as its main attributes sexy, confident, captivating with a hint of danger all rolled into one delightful ball of enticing “i died and went to heavneness?” the same time? Role that Ursula Andress AND Halle Berry filled? I think NOT!! She is the opposite of all those thing and at the other end of the spectrum of those two beauties.

  45. Snepts • November 22, 2012 @ 9:15 PM

    Better her than Emma Watson.

  46. D. Chan • November 22, 2012 @ 10:00 PM

If she is going to play as a bond girl, then I will definitely retired from watching anymore bond movie… Standard can’t be lower than what it is already!!!

  47. Matthew • November 22, 2012 @ 10:12 PM

    @snepts are you NUTS!!!!

  48. Thuppaki • November 22, 2012 @ 10:13 PM

    Kristen Stewart is ugly.

  49. CaptainA • November 22, 2012 @ 10:16 PM

We are talking about a bond girl, not an Oscar winning role. Kristen Stewart could play that garbage role for all I care.

  50. Snepts • November 22, 2012 @ 10:26 PM

Better Kristen Stewart than Emma Watson…

  51. JD • November 22, 2012 @ 10:41 PM

One of the most boring and worst actress ever.
Bond girl? HAHAHAHAHA! What a good joke.

  52. Sasha • November 22, 2012 @ 10:44 PM

Disney kids have more talent than this girl.

  53. Matthew • November 22, 2012 @ 10:58 PM

    @snepts again, are you NUTS!!!!!

  54. Nobody Important • November 23, 2012 @ 12:16 AM

I would put my entire Bond collection through the shredder if they made that lifeless fencepost a bond girl.

She has less acting range than a terminator… before they cover it with synthetic skin.

She only has one facial expression and it screams “white slavery”.

I mean, the only way I would retract my previous comments would be if I got a letter from a doctor stating Kristen Stewart suffered from a stroke that caused facial paralysis.

  55. Jackie Meloche • November 23, 2012 @ 1:39 AM

Wow. You’re a harsh bunch. Kristen is only 22. Lighten up. She has only begun her career as an adult. Not many actors have gone as far as she has at her age. And she is a very good actress. It’s the lousy direction she gets that makes her seem one dimensional. She may well fool you all in the future. And, Jeff. No matter what your daughter says, she will feel pain from being bullied. How old is she? Too young to understand, or old enough to play the game? I know bullying and all that goes with it. It is never good.

  56. MovieGoer • November 23, 2012 @ 1:39 AM

    Small minds discuss people.
    Average minds discuss events.
    Great minds discuss ideas.

  57. Snepts • November 23, 2012 @ 1:47 AM

Matthew, stick figure Emma looks like Justin Bieber in a dress, and that’s NOT a good image for James Bond. Neither of these girls can act, but at least Kristen can fill out a bikini.

  58. Rita • November 23, 2012 @ 4:47 AM

“having an opinion on a person” – oh, by the way, all through the centuries the correct term has always been: having an opinion About a person. Or having an opinion About her. And @Jess, you are absolutely Right! Some of these opinions are downright mean! They are Not called for and are Unnecessary!

  59. Rita • November 23, 2012 @ 4:53 AM

Mr. Craig, you say all at once that she can be a great Bond girl and then you say she can’t do it because shes in Twilight. How do you know she wasn’t available and not filming Twilight when you were filming James Bond?? Excuse me if you are right. Both of you could have been filming at the same time. Well, now that Twilight is over; maybe she could be one. She’d make an Excellent one!

  60. Rita • November 23, 2012 @ 4:57 AM

@Snepts Fantastic idea! Then if the Bond girl dies she could step in and take her place. What an original idea, if I don’t say so myself. ((-!

  61. Rita • November 23, 2012 @ 5:10 AM

@FionaK Yes, I think it was rude of him to say that BUT No I Don’t think he felt threatened by her Twilight movie in the least. The Bond movies are one of the Greatest franchises ever! I kind of didn’t like the last one, so I didn’t go see this one and never will. Even though I’ve seen tons of them. My roommate said he thought this one was OK.

  62. Rita • November 23, 2012 @ 5:13 AM

@Convoy “I seen the new bond movie” I saw the new bond etc. Seen is used as a plural word.

  63. Justin • November 23, 2012 @ 8:46 AM

No I’m sorry but to anyone defending her she truly does suck at acting other than very emo roles. And if you have seen her in a live interview you would know that’s how she actually is as a person. Not a good fit for a Bond girl as they have attitude, major sex appeal and can smile.

  64. Convoy • November 23, 2012 @ 10:40 AM

@Rita what are you my English teacher? I believe you are incorrect. I believe, “saw” is a simple past tense, while “seen” present perfect tense.

  65. DonkeyKong • November 23, 2012 @ 10:42 AM

@MovieGoer I like how you think.

  66. Justin • November 23, 2012 @ 10:59 AM

Rita obviously isn’t all there or she would understand the concept of being in direct competition if you were filming two movies to be released at the same time… As for the cyber bullying these actors have chosen a career in the public eye and are being judged on their work that it not bullying… If it was then I guess the world bullied bush after he sat in a classroom for 15 minutes while his country was attacked… He sucked at his job and she sucks at hers … Period

  67. Mona • November 23, 2012 @ 9:34 PM

@Convoy: Have what ever opinion you want about Kristen Stewart, but please, do NOT try to correct anyone else’s grammar when yours is so clearly atrocious. Saying “I seen” is bad enough to begin with, but then trying to convince someone that it’s grammatically correct just makes you look like even more of a douche than you already did.

  68. Something's missing • November 25, 2012 @ 6:40 PM

Kristen Stewart would ruin James Bond. She’s a totally different type of sex appeal than a Bond girl. A Bond girl is confident, sensual, fit and curvy, and classy. Kristen is twitchy, has no tits or ass, and looks like a grungy teenager in all the movies I’ve seen her in. She just doesn’t have the right look for the role, even in you ignore her halfassed acting and mouth breathing/lip biting tendencies. Bond needs a girl like Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Biel or even Amber Heard.

  69. Something's missing • November 25, 2012 @ 6:55 PM

Ashley Greene has the right look too, and she can definitely fill out a bikini, no padding needed.
