Daniel Radcliffe to lend his voice to The Simpsons

Daniel Radcliffe will once again be transformed into a yellow animated character for a second guest-starring turn on The Simpsons. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Al Jean revealed the 23-year-old former Harry Potter star will play Diggs, a strange older boy that Bart befriends. Jean describes Diggs as a “combination of Holden Caulfield, Finny from A Separate Peace and the kids in Lord of the Flies — only a little more screwed up.” Radcliffe first lent his voice to the show’s 2010 episode Treehouse of Horror XXI, in which he played the vampire son of Dracula. Jean said that seeing the English actor during his Broadway stint influenced the decision to bring him back on the show. “I had the pleasure of meeting him after one of his performances in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and he is one of the people who actually listens to Simpsons DVD commentaries.” The forthcoming 25th season of The Simpsons will air in the fall and include guest stars such as Kristen Wiig, Will Arnett and Eva Longoria. ~Alfonso Espina

Just one more example of why this show should have been cancelled years ago.

I used to watch this show every Sunday for a laugh. Now I barely remember it’s even on. Now they are recycling guest star voices. End while you’re on top, it was a good run.
