David Schwimmer loved Friends reunion

David Schwimmer had a ”lovely” time reuniting with his Friends castmates.

The 49-year-old actor recently teamed with Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow for an NBC special honoring director James Burrows and he was thrilled to be involved.

He said: ”It was just lovely to all be in the same room and to honor Jimmy, who we all love. He is a prolific director and he really, really helped forge the cast as an ensemble.

”He really clarified all those relationships from the get go.”

David can next be seen portraying lawyer Robert Kardashian in The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and he remembers sitting with his Friends co-stars to watch the trial of the sportsman – who was acquitted of the murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman – when they first began working together.

He recalled to Entertainment Tonight: ”Ironically, we had just started filming the first season of Friends, so it was really a kind of bizarre experience for me to be suddenly have this exciting break as an actor and at the same time, still very much connected and plugged into what was happening in reality. I remember watching the trial, and on the set, occasionally we would all gather to watch.”

In order to understand the acclaimed defence attorney – who died of cancer in 2003 – David was grateful to spend time with his ex-wife, Kris Jenner.

He said: ”I wanted to get it right and luckily I was able to speak to Kris Jenner for some time. I really got to understand who he was as a father and as a husband. He was such a big devoted family man and he was a man of great humility and faith. That played a major role for me in playing him.”
