Deadpool & Wolverine three-peats at weekend box office

Deadpool & Wolverine tops the weekend box office for the third time in a rowThis weekend, two new movies made it into the top five at the box office, but neither dethroned Deadpool & Wolverine, which is still going strong.

Deadpool & Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman remained at the top of the box office for the third weekend in a row, taking in another $54.2 million for an amazing total haul of $494.3 million.

It Ends With Us starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni debuted in second place. Based on a bestselling novel, the romantic drama made $50 million in its first weekend. Click here to read our review.

Twisters starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell was pushed into third place, earning an extra $15 million for a four-week total of $222.3 million.

Based on a popular video game, Borderlands starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin HartJamie Lee Curtis and Jack Black debuted in fourth place with a take of $8.8 million.

Rounding out the top five was the animated comedy Despicable Me 4 starring the voice of Steve Carell, earning an additional $8 million for a six-week domestic total of $330.1 million.
