Alexander McQueen with his British Designer of the Year award

Just days before his show at London’s Fashion Week, British designer Alexander McQueen was found hanging yesterday morning in his London home, just a week after the February 2nd death of his mother. Paramedics were called to the fashion icon’s home, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. McQueen was just 40 years old. His new collection was set to debut at Paris’s Fashion Week next month. His designs were worn by A-list celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Rihanna, Sandra Bullock and Katie Holmes. “His brilliant imagination knew no bounds as he conjured up collection after collection of extraordinary designs,” said Alexandra Shulman, the editor of British Vogue. ~Hilary Caton

Tragedy. But I bet they’ll find it was an accidental death. My friend’s husband did that accidentally and she came home and found him hanging. Some kind of sexual kink and he couldn’t get out of the bungie cord before suffocating. Unlikely he’d commit suicide because of the death of his mother unless they were inseparable. Says nothing about suicidal tendencies or suicide note. Be interesting to see how it unfolds.

I think he was probably just really close with his mother and when she died, his world crumbled.

who cares. just another selfish person who thinks its better to take the easier way out and don’t care who they hurt or the feelings of the people who they leave behind. no matter how bad things get, suicide is not the answer.

To ‘Myles’ and ‘Evelyn’. As most people, I know very little about this tragic and unfortunate incident. However, to you two I say this: do us all a favour in this world, please take the ‘easy way’ out. This world has no place for pieces of crap like you scum and would better off without wastes of life like yourselves clogging up our country. Go away, far away.

To Evelyn and Myles: you have absolutely no idea what drove this man to commit suicide. just because he was rich and successful does not mean that was happy and fulfilled. so why don’t you do everyone a favor and shut your ignorant mouths and have some respect for the dead.

I always used to think suicide was extremely selfish, because it seemed that the person cared more about their own suffering than the suffering they were about to inflict on their loved ones. Then I realized that if a person is in the state of mind where they are going to commit suicide, they are not thinking rationally.

HAHAHAHHA typical internet losers. Such pathetic lives of their own, they have to live through others. Get a clue ding dongs.

This forum was set up for people to share their opinion, which is what I did. Did I insult you are call you names or tell you to kill yourself? No, because I resepct people’s opinion’s whether I agree with them or not. So why don’t you shut your clueless mouths and get out of MY country and go somewhere else where ignorance is accepted.
