Director Boll handles criticism badly

German director Uwe Boll (In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale) is the subject of an online petition aimed to stop him from making any more movies. Boll had initially responded in jest, saying if the petition reached one million signatures he would retire. But now Boll is singing a different tune as the amount of signatures has quickly skyrocketed to over 150,000. “I want that there’s a petition also out there—like a pro-Boll petition. And I expect a million votes pro-Boll,” he stated in a recently posted video. (Ja Vol, Herr Boll!) Late in the video, Boll claims he is the only genius in the film industry and scrutinizes the careers of George Clooney, Hostel director Eli Roth and powerhouse filmmaker Michael Bay (Transformers). This isn’t the first time Boll has attacked his critics. In 2006 the filmmaker fought various film critics in a boxing match, so that he could pay them back for trashing his films in their reviews.
