Charlie Sheen says ‘Good riddance Roseanne!’

Charlie Sheen and Roseanne Barr

Charlie Sheen has taken to Twitter to bid farewell to the TV reboot Roseanne after ABC cancelled the series.

“Adios Roseanne! Good riddance,” Charlie tweeted on Tuesday. “Hashtag NOT Winning. The runway is now clear for OUR reboot.”

He finished off the tweet by adding the hashtag #CharlieHarperReturns and included a picture of a script from his previously successful series, Two and a Half Men.

Charlie’s erratic behavior, including calling the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, a “contaminated little maggot,” led to his dismissal from the long-running CBS comedy, with Ashton Kutcher then taking over in a new role as his replacement. Charlie’s character, Charlie Harper, was killed off twice — once by being thrown in front of a train, and then again when a helicopter dropped a piano on him.

Charlie’s Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer retweeted his Twitter post and added the tongue-in-cheek message: “What could go wrong?”

ABC cancelled Roseanne on Tuesday following a racist tweet by star Roseanne Barr, suggesting that former Obama advisor Valerie Jarett is the offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & planet of the apes.”

After receiving serious backlash from the public, celebrities, and even her own co-stars, Roseanne deleted the tweet and has since apologized for the “bad joke.” She also released another now-deleted tweet in which she blamed the sleeping aid Ambien for her racially charged comment.

“It was 2 in the morning and I was Ambien tweeting – it was memorial day too – I went 2 far & do not want it defended – it was egregious Indefensible,” the tweet read. “I made a mistake I wish I hadn’t but… don’t defend it please.”

Drug company Sanofi, which produces Ambien, responded to Roseanne’s claim with a tweet Wednesday morning: “While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication.” ~Caitlyn Clancey

I think its ridiculous that they cancel the show! She apologized. A lot of people like watching that show and everyone knows that is what she does is makes jokes she says things without even thinking about and thats what so funny about it. The other comedians say things about the president and his staff all the time and their shows have not been canceled. So its not fair!! Its just not right!!

To bad Roseanne, well everyone makes mistakes. Take trump for instance, he has Ted and Quackley scared, they came from Mexico. Ted is a bear, Quackley is a chicken, rescued by a sheep dog. Ted is now a unified police man while Quackley is a stay at home mom. They are worried that Trump will find them. When the came to the states they adopted a dog, Snoopy. Their question to trump is…If they get deported can Snoopy stay in the US? Hey Roseanne seems Trump has taken a liking to you. You know misery loves company.

Charlie Sheen is my hero. I love him because he stands up for whats right. Roseanne can go to hell.

Charlie Sheen is nothing more than a giant bag of STD’s. Nobody cares about his moral outrage. I don’t much care for Roseanne either but the United States is supposed to be about free speech.

    I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA!?!!!?!?

It’s a sad day when Charlie Sheen becomes a moral compass. Rosanne in one sentence wasted 20 years of waiting for another big payday and new fame. Now she will no longer have to wonder if somebody spit in her food everywhere she eats.

Since the people believe and know they have free speech, all they do is produce “stupid” speech. So I say take away this stupid speech and the stupid people. Limitations should be placed on nimrods. Yes, I’m advocating against free speech, even what I am saying right now should not be allowed.

It’s too bad that people have to be stupid to post out there their ignorance and hope that everybody’s OK with it when in fact it will cost you your job, your life I would think twice before posting. No matter how much anything political, or other people make you mad instead of posting to whatever media outlet out there, can be used against you if you got a problem with someone pray about it ask God to forgive them and move on.

I agree with Charlie —good ridance to bad rubbish .
An apology does not mitigate her continuos stupid comments and actions ( and I’m not even factoring in support of the idiot Trump )

There is free speech and then there is hate speech. If she wanted to insult the woman, she could have come up with something more creative and less on the racist side.
I loved the show, and it’s too bad it’s gone again. All because of RB’s big mouth.
I honestly thought she was smarter than that, but guess I was wrong !

Charlie Sheen is 10 times worse, anybody that defends him should be locked in a padded room somewhere.
He’s intentionally infected people and seems to have gotten away with it.
His opinion is a farce and garbage !!

Maybe Rosanne is jealous of Valerie as she is appears so much more classy. While Rosanne never came out of the trailer park.

I wish the show stayed on….millions of people enjoy it and over 200 people will lose their job over a stupid tweet..reprimand Roseanne…reduce her salary…but to cancel the show with such high ratings and when 200 jobs are affected is taking it too far. Charlie Sheen made stupid tweets and yet show wasn’t cancelled…Donald trump does but no impeachment so why this?

Free speech is not the same as speech without consequences. You are welcome to tell your boss where to go and how to get there tomorrow, but you could get fired. You were still free to say what you wanted.

With all due respect Penny Ward, there are just some things that are not funny. They are cruel and hurtful and there is just no excuse for, unless that person is mentally ill and not in their right mind. In any event, someone like Roseanne should know better and should not profit from.

  15. Kathy Fleming • May 31, 2018 @ 4:49 PM

Absolutely No excuse for this kind of distasteful free speech. Roseanne went too far and should have learned from her past mistakes. Unfortunately, her words and conduct reflect poorly on the network whom she somewhat represents. Her words were Not smart or funny. They were in incredibly poor taste and unnecessary. Like Trump, she seems to find it necessary to express/tweet everything that she thinks, no matter how inappropriate, without consequences. She got too big for her britches. She crossed the line in terms of what is acceptable.

This is Orwellian- they are erasing Roseanne Barr. This is a big mistake. Free speech, even if it’s hateful.

  17. William Campbell • May 31, 2018 @ 9:32 PM

I’m not a fan of Rosanne. Even less of Charlie Sheen

  18. Patrick Brochu • June 1, 2018 @ 12:29 PM

This is to Penny Ward, Roseanne Barr is a big mouthed redneck twat!! I’m glad that they killed off the show “Roseanne”. I never liked “Roseanne”, I feel bad for the rest of the cast and crew that are now out of work because this redneck “Roseanne Barr” couldn’t keep her big fat mouth shut!!

  19. David Harding • June 1, 2018 @ 12:59 PM

I guess this is another thing we can all learn from. “Free speech” does not mean free from the consequences of exercising your free speech… and it never did.

  20. Debbie • June 1, 2018 @ 6:53 PM

Good comments. Only adding that the president doesn’t have the same consequences, which was stated. And he has lots to answer to…a bad example of a leader, even if we tried to separate personal from business.

  21. TeeDee • June 3, 2018 @ 8:05 AM

Roseanne’s racist comment about Valerie Jarrett was indefensible. There must be zero tolerance for racism of any sort and she should have known that. The full weight of responsibility for disappointing her fans and losing the jobs of hundreds falls on her shoulders, as it should.
Those talking about “free speech” have forgotten one important factor: Free speech is ONLY protected from government interference/consequences. The speech is NOT protected from public or corporate consequences. If you call your boss or co-worker an ‘ape’ for example, when you know they are black and have been called those names by other racists for generations, you can–and should be–fired. Period.

Sheen is a giant bag of STD’s.
