Donald Trump reacts to David Letterman criticism

Donald Trump took offense when David Letterman, during a discussion last week with Dr. Phil on The Late Show, commented that the Apprentice star’s attacks on President Obama had started to “smack of racism.” According to The New York Post, Trump penned a letter to the talk show host that read: “I was disappointed to hear the statements you made about me last night on your show that I was a ‘racist,'” Trump wrote to Letterman. “In actuality, nothing could be further from the truth and there is nobody who is less of a racist than Donald Trump. Based upon your statements, and despite the fact that we have always done so well together, especially in your ratings, I am canceling my May 18 appearance on your show.” Other celebrities such as Robert De Niro, Jerry Seinfeld and Cher also criticized Trump for his recent insistant that Obama produce a birth certificate after questioning the validity of the President’s U.S. citizenship, and for questioning his acceptance into Harvard Law School. Trump says he’ll only appear on The Late Show if Letterman is “ready to apologize.” ~Alexandra Heilbron

Trump is so full of himself and this Obama stuff is thankfully creating quite a backlash. I don’t think Trump’s going to get far in his presidential bid.

Maybe he should be looking for an Apprentice to run his PR campaign, because he’s not looking too good with these bold statements.

I agree with you Andrea. Although, it may be interesting to see all the late night hosts make fun of his run, and in the end he ends up becoming President.

What a surprise. Trump is outraged AGAIN. How will Letterman ever survive without The Donald on his show on May 18th? I know. Easily! Good for you Dave.

Can’t stand Trump and his pompous manner. I would never watch his show

Now that would be frightening, if Trump was Pres.

If you guys didn’t already know about it, you should check out the video of Obama roasting Trump at the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner. I never knew an American President could be so hilarious.
