Star Wars fans had a great time posing with members of the 501st Legion, an international fan-based organization that dresses up as Imperial Stormtroopers, Jedis, old Sith Lords and even Darth Vader. Star Wars related guests also included Jeremy Bulloch and Daniel Logan, actors who portrayed the popular bounty hunter Boba Fett in the old and new trilogy respectively. The convention included helpful panels for those looking to break into the comic book scene such as “Storytelling with Michael Golden,” “How to Fail in Comics” and “Breaking Into Comics: International Invasion.”
But perhaps some of the most successful attractions of the weekend were the numerous Q&A sessions, designed to allow fans to interact with the stars of some of their favorite shows — both old and new — like Being Human, The Vampire Diaries, Star Trek, Firefly, Quantum Leap and Eureka. While Sunday was less busy, with less panels and guests scheduled to appear, it was a great opportunity to snag some quality comic books and other memorabilia at a discounted price. Overall, Wizard World’s Comic Con proved to be a great weekend for Toronto fans. ~Rodrigo Cokting
