Elizabeth Olsen is in talks to join the cast of the Hollywood remake of Oldboy, a Korean revenge thriller. The Asian flick is based on a manga series by Garon Tsuchiya and Nobuaki Minegishi and tells the story of a man kidnapped and held captive for 15 years without an explanation. When he is suddenly set free, he vows to discover the reason behind his abduction. The movie was well received and quickly became the target of a western reinterpretation. The American version will be helmed by Spike Lee and will star Josh Brolin as the main character. Olsen is the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and received recognition after starring in the critically acclaimed independent drama Martha Marcy May Marlene. She can also be seen in the upcoming thriller Silent House. ~Rodrigo Cokting
