Tyrion lannister is my favourite character. As much as he is hated by a lot of people, he’s very smart and knows what to do to survive. I feel like he’s been in almost every bad situation possible and has still been able to avoid death. He’s no fighter but he’s definitely one of the strongest in my opinion.

My favorite Game of Thrones character is Arya Stark. I’d she is so brave and tough; she has had to watch her father beheaded, avenge half her family and pose as a page boy to gather intel on her family’s enemies. Wow, if she this tough now, imagine how she’ll be as an adult in the show.

  16. Adam Kohn • March 14, 2016 @ 12:09 PM

My favourite character is Daenerys Targaryen, “the mother of dragons” simply because of the three fire-breathing dragons at her disposal.

    Sansa Stark!
I’m a huge fan of the books and the tv series, and in my opinion Sansa’s character has shown the greatest development over the series. She has gone from a niave, spoiled, helpless little girl into an emotionally and intellectually strong young woman who knows where her strengths lie and how to use them to her advantage in the tricky game they all play. And season 5 best demonstrated her new found power! I can’t wait to see what the new season has in store for her!

  80. Joanne • March 14, 2016 @ 3:24 PM

Tyrion Lannister= Intelligent complex character very flawed mixed with bouts of nobility.

  96. H. Cichon • March 14, 2016 @ 5:27 PM

My favourite show has many great characters; however, the one I find most intriguing and mysterious is Varys (a.k.a. – The Spider) played brilliantly by Conleth Hill. The Spider is a true “master of disguise” and, while his loyalties remain a mystery, I believe his character is integral to the final outcome of what becomes of the realm and, while he claims to despise all matters of magic, I believe he kept the wizard for a reason. I’m counting the days till the next season. LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!

  97. Bonnie Mccleery • March 14, 2016 @ 5:31 PM

My favorite character in Game of Thrones is Stannis of House Baratheon, First of His name, The one true king of Westeros. Because he’s a man of duty, the only one who understood the danger beyond the wall and he’s a proven battle commander. Even thought he’s misunderstood by a large majority of fans.

Her journey/story is full of peril but she is strong and keeps going.

  104. Jason • March 14, 2016 @ 6:24 PM

I like Tyrion. He is an under dog that even though he has ever right to be bitter and angry. Most of the times he is relatively honorable and good. But he is still human and has moments of lust, indecision, and greed that makes him the most relatable character. Strangely, it makes him the most human of the troop.

Definitely Gimli. I like his beard (especially the braids) and when he says, “the miines of Moria!”

Second place would be Prince Oberyn, the Viper, an actual GoT character.

    Jon snow

  137. annmarie • March 14, 2016 @ 10:23 PM

Brandon is my favorite there is so much potential for him cant wait to see if he can control the dragons

  138. Travis Parsons • March 14, 2016 @ 10:53 PM

    Jon Snow,
He chooses to fight against adversity, including bullies while trying to help others at great personal cost and in contrast with the moral foundation of others around him. Meanwhile, he is doing this not for recognition, but in a humble manner. Even to a fault he follows his heart and not his mind, even though he knows that the end result may not work out as planned, but remains hopeful as ever.

  139. Chuck • March 14, 2016 @ 11:10 PM

Seriously, you posted this one the 14th and it ended on the 11th. How awesome
Favourite character is Tywin Lannister, he always outworks the others

  141. Rebecca • March 14, 2016 @ 11:25 PM

I have to admit I like Tyrion the best, despite the fact that he may be considered a “villain”. I love how he almost always outwits everyone, and he always has an answer for everything.

Daenerys Targaryen because she’s very smart…

  143. Chloé • March 15, 2016 @ 12:26 AM

While reading the book, I came to like Jaime Lannister very much. Through his chapters, we discover a good man, tormented by his actions.. Plus, he’s nice with Tyrion. 🙂 haha

Joffrey Baratheon because he’s so evil.

  148. Paula • March 15, 2016 @ 1:01 AM

Brienne of Tarth: a misfit, a woman who doesn’t conform to her world, full of power, self-discipline and bravery. Of all the characters she has the biggest heart.

Arya Stark because she is sweet little brave tomboy.

  152. Christine Kempt • March 15, 2016 @ 7:06 AM

My favorite Game of Thrones character is Tyrion Lanister. I think he is clever, genuinely does want to do the right thing and isn’t afraid of calling people out. He speaks his mind and believes in honour and good people.

I love Tyrion. Such snark, it’s so fun!

  157. Alistair • March 15, 2016 @ 10:22 AM

Brienne of Tarth – There is just something about her and the way she is driven by and still holds on to her honour. In a show filled with so much betrayal and backstabbing I look forward to seeing her and getting a few minutes of someone who is actually good and doing good things.

  158. yvonne • March 15, 2016 @ 11:39 AM

    Tyrion is awesome

  163. Sharon Fern • March 15, 2016 @ 12:12 PM

Why didn’t you ask who we hate??? So much easier. I love so many characters. Jon Snow (like everyone) because he is a hero, but also Ned Stark because he too was a hero. But I have also loved Arya and Bran from the beginning because they were charming from the get go and have grown into hero’s themselves. And Tyrion is hilarious. Pick a favorite?? I will go with Bran.

  164. Cole doskotch • March 15, 2016 @ 12:37 PM

My favourite is Jon Snow, bastard child turned hero, can always count on him! Was rooting for him to take over the kingdoms!

  176. Karen • March 15, 2016 @ 7:20 PM

Brienne of Tarth is my favourite because she is so kickass. People keep underestimating her because she is a woman, but she sure showed them!

  177. Shoshi • March 15, 2016 @ 7:29 PM

    Tyrion Lannister

  178. Marnie Lapierre • March 15, 2016 @ 8:57 PM

So hard to pick my favourite character. I will say it changes each season. But the absolute constant is Tyrion Lannister. His sense of humour, his plotting, and the actor himself just make him such a juicy character. But I will say I a anxious to see what Circey will do!

  179. Charlene • March 15, 2016 @ 8:59 PM

Jaime Lannister – he may not be the “good guy” but he manages to keep his head above water and his camaraderie with Brienne of Tarth was truly captivating to watch!

  182. Rosie S • March 15, 2016 @ 9:40 PM

  183. Michelle K • March 15, 2016 @ 10:15 PM

My favourite character is Daenerys Targaryen, “the mother of dragons” simply because of the three fire-breathing dragons, she’s intelligent and doesn’t take any shit off anyone!

  184. Steve • March 15, 2016 @ 10:42 PM

Arya Stark; her story has been the most extreme as far as character development is concerned. She started out wanting to be one of the boys, learning how to sword fight and has grown to the point where she had got exactly what she has set out to do.

  185. Danielle • March 16, 2016 @ 12:22 AM

    Plain and simple, Jon Snow!
I adore his character, he is so kind, brave and honorable.
He always tries to do the right thing, even if it hurts and I really admire that. Also I’ve always been the type to root for the underdog so I hope he comes back!

Daenerys Targaryen because she is brave, tough, resilient and beautiful! 🙂

  188. Calvin Y • March 16, 2016 @ 3:02 AM

Dseznerys Targaryen—> Her character revolves around sex, war, gender, race, politics and morality. She is the Mother of Dragons! How cool is that? ….very cool! And I can’t forget to mention, so beautiful!

  189. Janine • March 16, 2016 @ 9:39 AM

Arya Stark….won’t anything good ever happen to her?!! Poor kid!

  190. Maria Jesusa Franco • March 16, 2016 @ 9:57 AM

Tycoon Lannister, because he has the most interesting character and says the most memorable and thought-provoking words.

  191. Ghezal Amiri • March 16, 2016 @ 12:02 PM

One of my favourite secondary characters was Maester Aemon and his death really hit me hard. You can just see an incredible history in his eyes, regardless of his old age and when he says ‘Egg.. I dreamed that I was old’ it caused me to shed a tear or 5 🙁 hopefully in a prequel series we’ll see him as a young man.

  192. Amanda Monson • March 16, 2016 @ 1:29 PM

I haven’t finished watching season 5, but my favourite character so far I s Daenerys, because I feel like she has grown from being a skittish young sister being married off to a stranger, to not only becoming her own person, but also a queen and a mother of dragons.

  193. Triena Russell • March 16, 2016 @ 3:53 PM

Queen Cersei Lannister is my favorite. Her character is just someone you would hate and she plays it well.

  194. Charles Prepolec • March 16, 2016 @ 4:53 PM

Tyrion Lannister, for one simple quotable line: “Well, my brother has his sword, and I have my mind. And a mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone.”

  195. Pam Douthwright • March 16, 2016 @ 5:53 PM

Tyrion Lannister is the only Lannister that one can actually like..he’s hilarious, intelligent and does have a heart

  196. Tonia Cheevers • March 16, 2016 @ 6:34 PM

  207. Playdo • March 17, 2016 @ 9:51 AM

Tyrion Lannister, because of his sense of humour.

Daenerys Targaryen she is the real Queen 😉

  209. Amy B • March 17, 2016 @ 10:05 AM

Arya Stark. I like her stubborn fighting spirit and no-nonsense attitude.

  214. Dianne B. • March 17, 2016 @ 10:22 AM

Tyrion Lannister is my favorite character. He shows how smart he is and at the same time as he is up to his tricks, there is still a part of you that feels for him and wants him to come out on top.

  215. Corry L. • March 17, 2016 @ 10:25 AM

My favourite character is Daenerys Targaryen because she’s the “Mother of Dragons”!

  216. Matt D • March 17, 2016 @ 10:28 AM

Jon Snow. He is the only character that is righteous and good. Throughout Season 5 I commented on how he is the only character that I truly care whether he lives or dies, and that he is the only one who can save the world from the true threat to everyone – the white walkers. Jon Snow is King!

  217. Doreen Lamoureux • March 17, 2016 @ 10:31 AM

One of my favorite Game of Thrones character is Arya Stark. Very interesting to see how her character developes. But, there are many outstanding characters in this series. Love all of them.

My favourite character is Daenerys Targaryen!!

  219. Kristin • March 17, 2016 @ 10:33 AM

    Arya Stark

She loves fiercely, will do whatever it takes for revenge. I’ve not read the series so I was disappointed that she did not kill Joffrey, I hope she ends up winning the game in the end.

  220. Kelly • March 17, 2016 @ 10:35 AM

Arya is my favorite character. She is a very strong willed young lady who despite her family demise has survived by her wits and guts.

  221. Kira • March 17, 2016 @ 10:36 AM

Daenerys Targaryen! Mother of dragons! All around great leader and strong female character.

  222. Jon • March 17, 2016 @ 10:36 AM

Kal Drogo – That character was just as Alpha as they come!

  223. Brenda Goldfarb • March 17, 2016 @ 10:36 AM

I’m torn – so many great characters. I think my favorite would be Tyrion Lannister. He’s a decent guy born in to a family of not so nice people.

  224. Paul T • March 17, 2016 @ 10:37 AM

Daenerys. Dragons are cool….or hot, I suppose.

  225. Donna Bologna • March 17, 2016 @ 10:38 AM

John Snow because he’s so hot, eye candy! 😃

  226. Kirk • March 17, 2016 @ 10:39 AM

Eddard (Ned) Stark – as although I’m only a few episodes into season one I can tell this guy is going places!

  227. Florence C • March 17, 2016 @ 10:42 AM

John Snow. I have to admit I started watching the show and could not stop. You begin to really like the characters and then they kill them. Such a great series.

  228. Adam • March 17, 2016 @ 10:42 AM

Daenerys all the way. Wasn’t a huge fan of her at first but I love how she has taken charge of her own destiny and is tired of being a pawn in other peoples games. Can’t wait to see where she goes next!

  229. Jean • March 17, 2016 @ 10:43 AM

Tyrion Lannister is my fave! For a Lannister he has morals and is someone I would trust. The rest of his family aren’t worthy to lick his boots, even though they are tiny!

  230. Karen • March 17, 2016 @ 10:43 AM

Its so hard to narrow it down there are so many great characters but I have to say Arya is my favorite. Courageous and has been through so much. What an incredible character and an incredible actress who plays her.

  231. Laura Burke • March 17, 2016 @ 10:45 AM

Daenerys Targaryen is my favourite character because she is good, kind, fair, and has tremendous personal strength. She is also smart, ever learning and becoming a better person and leader.

  239. Jonathan • March 17, 2016 @ 10:50 AM

Eddark Stark embodies all the aspects of a true hero – loyalty, honour, duty.
Sadly, this is not a story about heroes…

  240. David Williams • March 17, 2016 @ 10:50 AM

daenerys targaryen – just awesome character

  242. Haley • March 17, 2016 @ 10:56 AM

It’s a toss up between Tyrion and Arya. But I’m leaning more towards Tyrion. He’s so witty:)

  243. Rebecca • March 17, 2016 @ 11:00 AM

Tyrion Lannister. His character is so witty and eloquent and knows exactly what AND how to say things. Perfect example: “I will hurt you for this. A day will come when you think you are safe and happy, and your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth. And you will know the debt is paid.” Best line ever.

  244. Lilou • March 17, 2016 @ 11:00 AM

Daenerys, because she’s a good person, smart and fair.

  245. Jaime • March 17, 2016 @ 11:00 AM

Arts is my favourite character. It’s been near watching her grow up. She plays such a brave and tough character!

  246. Heather Ross • March 17, 2016 @ 11:01 AM

Lord Petyr Baelish….it seems to me that he’s the catalyst for everything that’s happened from the very beginning. It was his manipulation of Lysa Tully that set everything in motion. At first, I thought it was so he could have Catelyn Stark but it seems now that he has bigger things in mind. He’s never boring, he’s always several steps ahead of everyone else, and he’s playing the other characters like chess pieces. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw one of his shoes, but Bravo! Well played, Lord Petyr!

  247. Deb • March 17, 2016 @ 11:03 AM

I always look forward to seeing Dolorous Ed

    Dolorous Ed….. just because!

  252. Brian • March 17, 2016 @ 11:11 AM

The whole series of characters are amazing. Jaime Lannister is changing and seeing the big picture. He wants to have a story thats written for all of the people. I see big changes in his character. My fave is Jon Snow, what will the next season will bring. Hopefully some truths about where he came from…

  253. Jean-Denis Labonte • March 17, 2016 @ 11:11 AM

Tyrion Lannister for sure, because regardless of his height, he always says what he thinks and is very truthful.

My Favorite Character will always be Ned Stark …Super Sexy

Jon Snow definitely. He’s good looking, loyal, and brave.

  256. Stephen Zumbach • March 17, 2016 @ 11:29 AM

Brienne of Tarth will be next to die! because the author is twisted in who he kills next. and since you dont see Stannis dying, its the next logical choice.

I am even go one further and say she is killed by him lifting his sword at the last second and running her through.

  257. Jean-Pierre Dubois-Godin • March 17, 2016 @ 11:31 AM

Daenerys Targaryen. She is a tough ruler who fights for what’s right.

  258. wanda macsween • March 17, 2016 @ 11:33 AM

Daenerys because she is a strong woman. Even named a cat after her!

  259. Rick Gottinger • March 17, 2016 @ 11:33 AM

Tyrion Lannister is my favorite Game of Thrones character because of his strength. Not physcial but mental. He is the perpetual underdog. Short in statue and lineage that is less than positive yet he still perseveres. Character flaws aside, he is clever and ruthless when he needs to be and continues to be a presence. I can’t help but want him to win!

  260. Luis • March 17, 2016 @ 11:33 AM

My favourite character was Robb Stark. I was disappointed when he and his wife were killed.

  261. Frederik • March 17, 2016 @ 11:34 AM

My favorite actor in the Game of Thrones is Tyrion Lannister played by Peter Dinklage. He is very charismatic and is an excellent actor. I always prefer the scenes that have him in them.

  262. Jeff Romanovitch • March 17, 2016 @ 11:34 AM

John Snow, because he is a true hero!

  263. Maria Elena • March 17, 2016 @ 11:35 AM

Tyrion is a fave of mine in both the books and series because he makes up for his size with his attitude and smarts.

  264. Brittney • March 17, 2016 @ 11:35 AM

My favourite is Daenerys Targaryen because…well how can you not love her she is simply amazing!

  265. Lori • March 17, 2016 @ 11:35 AM

Jaime Lannister. I think we need a flashback scene of him offing the mad king. I like that he does what others won’t do, people knew the mad king needed to go and he was the only one willing to do it. That and the actor who portrays him is hot.

  266. Wasabi • March 17, 2016 @ 11:35 AM

I’m going to go a little off the beaten path and put a vote in for everyone’s favorite Master of Spies, Varys.

  267. Evan Enquist • March 17, 2016 @ 11:35 AM

Tyrion – funny, irreverent and lover of debauchery.

  268. Mazamil Abdul Majeed • March 17, 2016 @ 11:35 AM

Jaqen H’ghar is one of my favourite characters in the series. Not much is known about him and that is what is intriguing. Now he is training Arya to help her take revenge for her family! Valar morghulis!

Tyrione Lannister is a counter-intuitive anti-hero and he exemplifies for me how a smart person can overcome the handicaps and disadvantages through wit and smarts. He is therefore my fav character.

  270. Wasabi • March 17, 2016 @ 11:37 AM

I’m going to go a little off the beaten path and put a vote in for everyone’s favorite Master of Spies, Varys.
He’s clever enough to have weathered all the sea changes, serving the Mad King, Robert Baratheon, and now the Lannisters, even while still being a closet Targaryen supporter. For all the deception inherent in his position, he still seems like he operates with a sense of ethics and understanding that the good of the realm is more important than any individual person sitting on the Iron Throne. He also can be a good ally up to a point, though that ultimately has limits because he ultimately puts his own position and self-preservation above any “friendships” (Ned Stark, Tyrion), if you can call them that. And he’s usually three steps ahead of everyone else, though Littlefinger is giving him a run for his money.

Arya Stark – because she is going to take over the world! Very cunning and wise beyond her years….she is developing into quite the heroine

  279. Eliot Shore • March 17, 2016 @ 11:44 AM

Daenerys, she started out as a little sister forced into marriage, soon she’ll rule the world! OK, maybe in another 5 seasons or so.

  280. Bibi • March 17, 2016 @ 11:45 AM

Jon Snow, because he is so good looking.

  281. Nate Fuller • March 17, 2016 @ 11:45 AM

Tyrion is my favorite because his character encompasses everything from humor to serious scenes to battle scenes!

Tyrion Lannister, the “1/2” man that should be king!!!

  285. wayde marriott • March 17, 2016 @ 11:48 AM

My favourite character is John Snow because he fights for what is right and just.

  286. Maureen • March 17, 2016 @ 11:48 AM

John Snow is my favourite as he has overcome so much adversity to get where he is and, although he appears dead, his heart is driven by such passion and loyalty that I can see his inner fire break through the icy domain of death!

  287. Jen Fischer • March 17, 2016 @ 11:50 AM

I like Tyrion the best, as he is the most honest character in the show, which is depicted in his physical starkness and brutal honesty

  288. Leslie • March 17, 2016 @ 11:51 AM

Tyrion : i love that he’s blunt yet smart. always has something to offer

  289. Don Bell • March 17, 2016 @ 11:51 AM

Arya Stark because she epitomizes the saying, ” When the going gets tough, the tough get going”.

  290. Cora • March 17, 2016 @ 11:52 AM

Cersi is my favourite character. She is behind so many plots and storylines. She is evil and selfish and has so much hatred for anyone spoiling her plans. She’s a user and she is unrepentant though she has been made to. I think she drives a good deal of the show. It would prove interesting to see who would step up to the plate if she were gone.

  291. Ike O. • March 17, 2016 @ 11:54 AM

Ned Stark, as played by the incomparable Sean Bean. The show has lacked a compelling compass and focus ever since (not to mention it seems to have since gotten high off the endless shock value of its heroes’ mortality).

  292. Al B • March 17, 2016 @ 11:56 AM

Bronn – because of that grin!

  293. Catherine • March 17, 2016 @ 11:56 AM

    Tyrone – most honest character

  294. Daniel • March 17, 2016 @ 11:56 AM

This one is easy for me: Daenerys of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and of course, Mother of Dragons. She came from nothing to being kick ass (and she’s gorgeous to boot)!

  295. Charles Tarzi • March 17, 2016 @ 11:57 AM

The Mountain. His power is incredible and I am looking forward to seeing his return in season 6.

  296. Mila young • March 17, 2016 @ 11:58 AM

  303. Casey S. • March 17, 2016 @ 12:03 PM

LOVE GoT!!! All of the characters are honestly unique and intriguing in their own way but if I had to pick just one it would be Tyrion. He steals every scene he is in and is one of those characters everyone is rooting for.

  316. Garth • March 17, 2016 @ 12:11 PM

Cersei — because she’s strong, beautiful, loyal to those she loves, and was the first character on the series who proved she knew how to play the game of thrones: “You win, or you die.”

  317. Al • March 17, 2016 @ 12:12 PM

Gotta love Tyrion – the award winning imp with the impish grin!!

  318. Victoria • March 17, 2016 @ 12:13 PM

My favourite character from GoT is definitely Tyrion. For me, he is the underdog – the misunderstood, always underestimated character who keeps winning against all odds. He’s a charming, intelligent, strong and cunning character who understands his own limitations and his strengths. I think it’s going to come down to Littlefinger and him at the end of the day, and the people who are on either side.

  319. Allison • March 17, 2016 @ 12:14 PM

Tyrion Lannister – He is a scene stealer, witty, sarcastic, and a true pivotal character able to use his apparent disadvantages to his advantage.

  320. Michael • March 17, 2016 @ 12:18 PM

Theon Greyjoy. Alfie Allen does a wonderful job playing this guy who always believes he’s doing the right thing, and always failing at it.

  321. Mary • March 17, 2016 @ 12:22 PM

Tyrion, for sure. Love his snark!

  322. Thomas Birney • March 17, 2016 @ 12:23 PM

    I really like Tyrion!

  326. Nicole • March 17, 2016 @ 12:24 PM

My favorite character is Tyrion, of all the people in the running to rule the 7 Kingdoms, he is their best hope. With all of the adversities thrown at him since birth, he found a way to empower himself with knowledge and wisdom. But his best qualities are thinking quickly under pressure, and his aptitude for empathy and compassion.

  327. Sarah EM • March 17, 2016 @ 12:25 PM

Tyrion! How can you not love the unlovable

  328. Lobo • March 17, 2016 @ 12:25 PM

Tyrion, because he’s the most awesome and badass imp in the whole Westeros.

  329. Brandon andress • March 17, 2016 @ 12:27 PM

Drogon because i love dragons and love how cute he looked it the second season.

  330. sean pynaert • March 17, 2016 @ 12:28 PM

Everybody loved Jon Snow, so did I, I still like Ned Stark best, the whole series and books cheesed me off right from when they killed Ned. Martin didn’t have to do that. There are way too many good characters that suffer and die and too many evil ones get away with everything. If one of them dies it’s swift usually and it’s not enough justice for me.

  331. Julie Pollock • March 17, 2016 @ 12:29 PM

my favourite is Tyrion, there is nothing sexier than a smart wit and a clever mind

  339. Susan T. • March 17, 2016 @ 12:35 PM

This is like having to pick your favorite child! I love Brienne, Tyrion, Daenerys and Khal Drogo but my current favorite is Tormund Giantsbane. He quite a wise leader even though the Wildings don’t have a “leader”. They seem to follow him and listen to him. He and Jon have managed to get the Wildings to move across the wall and to fight the White Walkers with the Crows.

  340. Teresa • March 17, 2016 @ 12:36 PM

Daenerys Targaryen is my favourite character. She is an amazing women, fearless and has such a good heart. She would be a great world leader today.

    *Tyrion (stupid autocorrect)!

  354. Alfie falcitelli • March 17, 2016 @ 12:47 PM

Tywin Lannister is my favorite character because of how much honour is actually layered behind his ‘evil’ demeanor. Above all else the family name superceeds the importance of any one member of the family. He has a shakespearean tragic flaw in his pride and jealousy over the Lannister name which of coarse gets him killed!

  355. Patricia Suchow • March 17, 2016 @ 12:48 PM

My favorite character is Tyrion Lannister. He retains his sense of humour no matter what the situation.

  356. Shams • March 17, 2016 @ 12:48 PM

My favourite character is Daenerys. She is strong, she’s powerful, she’s a strong woman, but deep down is insecure as any young woman can be. I feel her. I struggle myself thinking about life, love, my family, my future. What keeps her going is knowing she has purpose. She is the mother of dragons, she fights for the people, she has love and compassion. All qualities I find within myself. I’m always rooting for her on the show.

  357. Linda • March 17, 2016 @ 12:49 PM

  370. Justin • March 17, 2016 @ 12:57 PM

My favourite is Loras Tyrell, I like him because of the fact he stood by Renly from the beginning. Despite being his lover and the Knight of Flowers, everyone attacked him for his secret relationships that only his sister Margaery knew about and now they are both imprisoned 🙁

  379. Ron G • March 17, 2016 @ 1:03 PM

My favourite character is Tyrion Lanniester. He plays off of the secondary characters, like Podrick and Varys, so well. Tyrion’s speech at his trial is still one of my favourite Game of Thrones moments thus far. And Tyrion is one of the few characters that recognize his/her flaws.

  380. Thyra • March 17, 2016 @ 1:04 PM

My favorite character is most definitely Daenerys Targeryen because of her inner strength and silent power and determinaability

  407. Alexis Ioannidis • March 17, 2016 @ 1:48 PM

My favourite character, wow.. there are so many, I guess is Lord Robin Arryn. I guess I also like being different than the masses. “Mummy, I want to see the bad man fly.” I love that line …. I also like it when his mum calls him Sweet robin. If I had a son, I would love him to be like him – lol. I think Lino Facioli is a great actor and I look forward every time I see him.

  408. Sean A • March 17, 2016 @ 1:49 PM

Jon Snow. Handsome, strong, just, and the mystery of who his real parents are is very intriguing.

  409. Fran • March 17, 2016 @ 1:54 PM

My favourite character is Daeneys who is a strong leader who loves her dragons. She says when her dragons are grown, she will take back what was stolen and destroy those who wronged her! She is an excellant actor and I love watching her.

  410. Dana Bash • March 17, 2016 @ 1:54 PM

Tyrion Lannister! He is evil, smart and sinister, love this guy!!

All that power, plus a true nobility and a motivation to change her world for the better. What a monarch should be!

Arya Stark because she is so determined and eager to be as fearless as possible. She doesn’t go down without a fight and her character development has been amazing!

  413. Fran • March 17, 2016 @ 1:57 PM

Dawmeurs is my favourite character who loves her dragons and states that when her dragons are grown, she will take back what was stolen from her and destroy those who wronged her! She is an excellant actor and I love watching her character in action.

  419. James • March 17, 2016 @ 2:11 PM

Tyrion because he slapped Joffrey and it was very satisfying

  420. William • March 17, 2016 @ 2:12 PM

Daenerys Targaryen, got teased with the nude scene in season 1, haven’t seen anything since then…

  421. Lenore • March 17, 2016 @ 2:17 PM

Davos Seaworth, because he struggles with his moral decisions, he’s not some angel who always finds an unrealistic perfect solution, and he struggles because he doesn’t always have the power to back up his ideals, but he is a good guy in spite of it all. Also, he’s pretty badass.

I struggled with this a lot, because there are a lot of cool people in this series. I thought a lot about Wyman Manderly, because feeding people their relatives is pretty hardcore. I hate when someone forgives too quick or too completely in a story. We’re supposed to think these people are morally superior? Maybe they just don’t have much of a capacity to love. It’s not like the Freys are exerting themselves to be forgiven and have learned from their mistakes.

I also have a lot of hopes for Arya and Sansa. Even if they stay separated, I like how they seem to be growing into two different ways to be powerful and agents for change. I hope Arya doesn’t complete her learning and lose herself, but uses what she learns to defend people (and reunite with what’s left of the Starks, Gendry and Nymeria). Sansa is learning political and social manipulation, and I hope she ends up surpassing her teacher (and manipulating a situation so he ends up dead).

  422. Kelly Curtis • March 17, 2016 @ 2:17 PM

Even though Ned Stark wasn’t on Game of Thrones for very long, he was a very powerful, noble character and was so sad to see him killed and beheaded. He did everything for his family and he was one of my favourite characters.

  423. Mara • March 17, 2016 @ 2:18 PM

Daenerys Targaryen – Cuz when you mess with the bull, you get the horns… along with the teeth, talons, fire and tail.

  424. Craig Miller • March 17, 2016 @ 2:25 PM

Tyrion is my favourite character. Just a smart and entertaining character. Played very well by the actor. Can’t wait until this show starts up again. Love it!!

Tyrion Lannister, because he’s smart and and creative and entertaining.

  426. Lizziepeas • March 17, 2016 @ 2:25 PM

It’s so hard to pick just one by one of my favourite Game of Thrones characters is Daenerys Targaryen. She’s a badass dragon mother, she is taking back a kingdom and ruling an empire with no man at her side…she’s doing it all on her own and her good name. She’s awesome.

  427. Andrew • March 17, 2016 @ 2:26 PM

Tyrion Lannister – has sharp mind and never lets others get to him.

  428. Murray Soko • March 17, 2016 @ 2:27 PM

It would be easy to say Tyrion, but my vote is for Pod. He may not do or say much, but he’s loyal and true and possibly one of the only actually GOOD people in Westeros. Plus, his little smile when the brothel decided to comp his visit…priceless.

  429. Steve Bobula • March 17, 2016 @ 2:30 PM

My Favorite Game of Thrones Character is Grand Maester Pycelle Because he has served under 4 kings. He is very wise in History, Science and Medicine but is actually mentally sharp and dangerous which makes his character very believable. He is Loyal to the Queen and has assisted with the birth of all of her children as well. As he enjoys the company of prostitutes but despite his tendency for deception, he does retain some sense of medical ethics. What a show and killer times!

  430. Joann • March 17, 2016 @ 2:31 PM

Little Finger, he makes everyone think he is their ally when he has a plan for himself all along. He never makes me really hate him!

Ned Stark – for reminding us that courage and honour may not always be good merits to have

  436. Isidro • March 17, 2016 @ 2:42 PM

My favourite is Arya Stark. Be cause she has suffered lots, but has Been, and gets stronger and wiser, and she didn’t get down, but has thrived against all odds

  437. Chris J • March 17, 2016 @ 2:47 PM

    Tyrion Lannister – very funny.

Tyrion, Our Kaleesy and Jon Snow – in that order.
Under dogs that you must root for!

  441. Anders • March 17, 2016 @ 2:50 PM

Ned Stark. Loved him in the book, loved him more in the show. Serious, ethical, moral, good father – what all men should strive to be. Also that family line – Winter is coming.

  442. nancy scott • March 17, 2016 @ 2:51 PM

That’s hard, they are all great in their own way.

  443. Sonia • March 17, 2016 @ 2:51 PM

Tyrion Lannister, he is complex, funny an all around great character

  444. Kerry • March 17, 2016 @ 2:52 PM

Ned Stark. He was the one that started it all. So strong yet so fair and just and a strong leader of his family. I was so shocked when they killed him off.

  445. Andrea • March 17, 2016 @ 2:57 PM

Brienne of Tarth is my favourite! She is mighty and sweet all rolled into one! Her comitment on In saving Sanza was amazing!

    drogon because dragons are awesome.

  447. vickie • March 17, 2016 @ 3:04 PM

Tyrion Lannister is my favorite, he is cleaver and mean but also has a heart and cares too.

  448. Dani • March 17, 2016 @ 3:05 PM

Is it weird that I liked The Hound? I was really enjoying the travelling Odd Couple sideline with him and Arya. Plus who doesn’t enjoy a quasi-redemption story? (There are too many great characters though, I mean Tyrion?!? Come on!!! Brilliant!)

  449. Kevin Lee • March 17, 2016 @ 3:09 PM

Of all the characters developed in this series, the one that I would root for is Samwell who thrown into an unfamiliar element manages to survive with the help of friends. Sure he is fearful but he finds the courage to do the right things for his friends and those he cares about inspite of his fears. Stout maybe but stout of heart and decisive action when it’s called for is what he’ll be known for. Wasn’t that great when he stood up to the White Walker and discovered the secret of the blade?

  450. George Edelstein • March 17, 2016 @ 3:11 PM

While I’m tempted to vote for Tyrion Lannister as I admire intelligence, wit, endurance and his emotional side and glimmerings of a good heart, I think I’ll go for Ned Stark who was an example of a benevolent and wise leader and family man whose death set up the series as one of realistic fantasy.

  451. steve • March 17, 2016 @ 3:12 PM

Ned Stark – cause Sean Bean always has a glorious death scene!

  452. Chantel • March 17, 2016 @ 3:15 PM

Daenerys Targaryen, “the mother of dragons” is my favorite. She is strong and and independent.

  453. AngieL • March 17, 2016 @ 3:21 PM

Oberyn – he was completely mesmerizing, a scene-stealer. Amazing speech when he stepped up to be Tyrion’s champion.

  454. Kaytee • March 17, 2016 @ 3:26 PM

I don’t have a favourite character. There are just so many of them and they all have their amazing stories and developments. For example, there’s Jon Snow; handsome, brave, loyal, and also very lonely. He had been through so many hardships and neglection from not only his family but the people at the Watch and they defined him into a better person. Tyrion is the same way, everyone treats him as though he’s an outsider but he is so witty, intellegant, and has the biggest heart. He feeds off others ignorance and hate and builds himself into a better person. A person who had mercy and empathy for others betrayed and unwanted. Then there’s Cersei who wants nothing more than power because of love for her family. She wants what’s best for her son and the kingdom. She was even willing to commit suicide with her son to prevent him from being brought up in a world where Lannisters are dead meat to others and would be tortured (had her father not rescued her). I’m also seeing in the comments most people are only stating main characters but what about lesser ones? Everyone contributes to the story that makes it great. It’s just so hard to pick a favourite….

  455. Di Thomas • March 17, 2016 @ 3:30 PM

Oh, definitely, Tyrion. He continually goes through so much adversity and misfortune, yet he always soldiers on with a clever quip and a new plan.

  456. Davidson • March 17, 2016 @ 3:32 PM

Tyrion Lannister. This character has the most interesting personality. He was born to a despised family and yet he actually tries to do good with what he is given. Granted, he has a weakness for womanly companionship but if that’s his only flaw, then he is quite normal by today’s standards of the average man in today’s movies.

  457. Kat • March 17, 2016 @ 3:39 PM

Tyrion! He adds humor to the show and should not be underestimated!

  458. Susan Ross • March 17, 2016 @ 3:44 PM

My favourite is Ned Stark – he was a man of principle, honour and loyalty.

  459. Annick • March 17, 2016 @ 3:47 PM

My favourite character is Arya Stark as she is the one I identify with the most. She is not mad, she just wants revenge. She is fierce.

  464. Dee Schwark • March 17, 2016 @ 4:18 PM

I would have to say Tyrion…he garners your sympathy, makes you laugh, cheer him on…just love him 🙂

  465. Drew03-16-2016 • March 17, 2016 @ 4:20 PM

I love them all, they’re all brilliant but if I must choose one…it will be Daenery Targaryen the mother of dragons. She is powerful just as well with her dragons, beautiful but and not scared if she has to hurt anyone. She may seem harmless but you wouldn’t to mess with her. She sticks to her belief in her goal of helping all slaves and trying to end to slavery, attempting to reach the Iron throne building her own army. She’s just simply magnificent!

  466. Sandra • March 17, 2016 @ 4:29 PM

My favourite character has to be Tyrion because his sense of humour steals the show and for one so small, he has more honour than anyone.

  467. Mark O • March 17, 2016 @ 4:38 PM

    Tyrion….temperament to match stature…

  468. Laura F. • March 17, 2016 @ 4:39 PM

Sansa Stark seems she always dreamed of being a Queen.

  470. Tammy Dunning • March 17, 2016 @ 4:41 PM

Daenerys Targaryen is my favourite character because she is strong, determined and fair in her actions. She sets slaves free but punishes those who deserve it. And, of course, because she mothers the dragons.

  471. Jo Nuttall • March 17, 2016 @ 4:44 PM

Khaleesi! Who wouldn’t want to have dragon babies!!!

  472. Brenda • March 17, 2016 @ 4:44 PM

  475. Pamela Bacon • March 17, 2016 @ 4:58 PM

My favorite character is definitely Tyrion. He is by far the smartest & most reasonable of all the characters and also seems to have the most compassion for others.

  476. Laurel • March 17, 2016 @ 5:07 PM

My favorite character is Tyrion Lannister. He has been treated so cruelly because of a condition he cannot help. Despite all the hardships he was still strong enough to search for knowledge, be gentle and kind when needed, brave in the face of disaster and finds the humour in life.

  477. Jean • March 17, 2016 @ 5:17 PM

Tyrion est mon favori, rien ne peux le tuer, il les domineras tous

  478. Sean P. • March 17, 2016 @ 5:39 PM

I’ve always admired the character of Jon Snow. Despite the “shame” of being a bastard in a world where your family name essentially limited what paths were open to you to either rise or fall, he found a way make his life his own. It was an accomplishment made all the more impressive as he did so by choosing a life of sacrifice and service.

  479. Ward • March 17, 2016 @ 5:48 PM

    Daddy Lannister (Tywin)

he has taken his house from Ruin by his father to the emanate house in the 7 kingdoms. he is disciplined, intelligent (except Arya being under his nose… he should have clued into that)hard working, strategic, demanding, sly he had all the emotions necessary to further his agendas calm when calm was needed and angry when angry was necessary.I got shivers every time this character was on the screen (don’t even get me started on how well Charles Dance portrayed this character) now while perhaps a bit of a calculator of a human being. and to make him more “relatable” he could have a had a bit more compassion. and as much as he was “villain” he was much to be admired, respected AND feared, hated etc.. when you can have both emotions about the same character… that’s where the magic is.

  480. Amber Payne • March 17, 2016 @ 5:49 PM

Tyrion is by far my favourite character in GOT… Strong, and intelligent, you’d be unwise to cross him. Plus, Peter Dinklage is amazing.

    Daenerys, because she controls dragons.

  482. Karen Perry • March 17, 2016 @ 6:04 PM

Jorah Mormont! Why? Because he is a true knight, chivalrous and honorable. Which is hard to find in Game of Thrones, once someone shows some honor they get killed. Also, his unrequited love (or maybe just obsession) with Daenerys.

  483. Sabrina • March 17, 2016 @ 6:05 PM

Daenerys because she is a strong female character

Daenerys Stormborn because she is a fierce, honourable and empathetic woman and best of rulers, justice seeking and activist, and we need more strong female rolemodels like her in the tv/movie industry. Not to mention, she is probably the most similar in the show as to the books!

  496. Tawni • March 17, 2016 @ 6:34 PM

He is larger than life, even though he is small. He is a survivor and will continue to do so, as a very influential character in the Game. He is a gem in the rough and will be the biggest surprise!

Daenerys Targaryen “Mother of Dragons is my favorite character! I love her because she doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks of her or her actions! She knows what she wants and pretty gets its. Love her passion, energy and most of all her dragons that she will never give up on even if they don’t want to listen to her! I cried with her when she had to lock them up which was hard for her to do. Also I love Emilia Clarke playing her as she does such a great job capturing Daenerys personality and strength 🙂 Can’t wait for more of her in this season!!

Arya Stark is the strongest character; she has had to undergo adversity beyond expectation for her age especially considering the family she was born into. She has triumphed so far and learned many valuable lessons about life and people. She has SPUNK!

  530. Mark • March 17, 2016 @ 9:42 PM

    Tyrion Lannister is my fav

  531. Matty G • March 17, 2016 @ 9:47 PM

Toss up between John Snow and Ed Stark; both were the only honorable men, cut from the same family and same ideals…. and both died for it 🙁
Honor is only seen by deadman walking :((((((

  532. Jacqueline Adams • March 17, 2016 @ 9:52 PM

My favourite character is Arya Stark. Her ability to adapt to whatever is thrown at her has been fasinating.

  533. Vito G • March 17, 2016 @ 9:52 PM

Ned Stark – without question! He had a nobility and fairness about him that seemed to put him out of place in Westros but yet a power and will to make him a very formidable force, even in death.

  534. Paul • March 17, 2016 @ 10:03 PM

Little Finger….he’s just very sneeky and clever and definately playing the game of thrones.

My favourite character was Ned Stark. He was a honest and fair ruler of the north before his untimely death. He was a good friend and husband and was strong, proud and stood up for what was right. I was very sad when I read and then saw his death on the show. He is missed.

  540. Dan Pak • March 17, 2016 @ 10:36 PM

    Arya Stark!
She has seen the worst and has hit rock bottom seeing her family literally vanish! Somehow she’s found another purpose to live! Anxious to see what is next!

  541. Mark • March 17, 2016 @ 10:43 PM

Jon Snow. He is smart, brave, honourable and kind. He’s the hero Westeros needs. “Kill the boy and let the man be born.”
Tyrion and Arya are awesome too.

  542. Brian Buchan • March 17, 2016 @ 10:56 PM

My favourite character still in Game of Thrones has to be the patriarch Ned Stark. Although he never lasted that long in the series his role was very important and he is sadly missed still. Hopefully the writers can have some form of his return through either a dream sequence or flashback. We were lucky enough to go to the theater to watch last sessions finale, and watching it on the huge screen was so worth it.
What a fantastic prize you are offering and it would fit very nicely in my dvd player. Ha!! Best of luck to all who enter.

  543. Krysta Cawley • March 17, 2016 @ 11:11 PM

  548. Life101 • March 17, 2016 @ 11:48 PM

I have to pick just one? Oh wow! That’s hard because I love all of them! But it would be a toss up of Ned Stark, so brave, with his integrity and compass for loyalty….and his bastard son Jon Snow..with his pure heart and his loyalty to Night’s Watch only to be betrayed by them. Especially Olly! It’s because of the characters in the show that made be get all the books in audio! I LOVE Game of Thrones! so because Jon might come back…..I’m going to say it would be Jon! XOXO Game of Thrones! I can’t wait to see the next season!

Arya Stark because she is a strong, and brave young woman.

There’s been so many good characters that it’s hard to choose just one, but I would have to say Tyrion Lannister. He is smart and witty and can be counted on to lighten the mood of the show when needed. Plus, it’s always fun to root for the underdog.
