Eva Mendes too hot for TV

Eva MendesEva Mendes’s upcoming TV commercial for Calvin Klein’s new fragrance is too hot for a general audience. The Secret Obsession spots features Mendes totally nude and are considered unnecessarily risqué by broadcast executives. Coty has been informed that they will not be aired in September as planned unless they are cleaned up or aired after 9:00 PM. Lori Singer, vice president of global marketing for the brand, said it is really a matter of perspective ….. “It’s somewhat up to interpretation — because of how it’s shot, and what you see and hear, and what you can’t se and hear. You hear her voice, talking about having a sexy secret”.

marketing 101, now they’ve created all the buzz they want.

My God America. Get over nudity already. And get over racism and sexism too while you are at it.
Why is it so bad to see a beatiful naked body but it’s okay to see people getting blown away with guns.
Maybe more people should walk around naked than going in schools and shooting people and children.
I’m from Canada and find it disturbing that Americans spend so much energy trying get rid of nudity and sex education rather than do something about your obsurd gun control.
Don’t you find it disturbing that you can go and buy guns at Walmart. That some young children can get their hands on guns so easy.
    Think about it.

It’s easier to buy a gun, then it is to buy porn!
    and that’s a fact!

    I wouldn’t know. I’ve never bought/tried to buy either one! 😀

The US is obsessed with sex. Canada is following along. Every day the differences between US and Canada become less and less. Where is it going to stop?

    back to Mendes…
if deemed inappropriate for children viewers, then simply air at a later time.
Simply put, children shouldn’t be subject to all the material adults view.
Sure, we all know they can turn the t.v. on any time, but that’s up to the control of the guardians/parents of the children.

Calvin Klein has long been shooting provocative ads, this is nothing new. Let it air in a later time slot.

Re:The issue of nudity in films and tv; Marilyn Chambers (Porn actress, ages ago) commented upon the viewing ratings set up by the censors. It was rather good. If a naked breast is shown to be hacked to pieces by a knife wielding maniac this will be an ‘R’ rating. If the breast is being kissed (in a film or tv movie ;this will recieve an’XXX’rating.

Sorry, I can’t quote any Marilyn Chambers comments…

but I’m quite sure the films aren’t rated the same way they were back then, this comment seems self-indulgent in favour of the “art” portrayed by Chambers.
