Ex-Disney star Jake T. Austin involved in hit-and-run

Ex-Disney star (Wizards of Waverly Place) and current The Fosters star Jake T. Austin was involved in a hit-and-run early Tuesday morning in Sherman Oaks, California. The 18-year-old star and his friend were driving around when their car smashed into not one, but three parked cars on the side of the street. The cars suffered major damage and witnesses told TMZ that Jake tossed a vodka bottle out the window before fleeing the scene. Police suspect drinking was involved, but since Jake was nowhere to be found he cannot be charged with DUI. He is in trouble for leaving the scene, but his lawyers called police shortly after, claiming Jake had to leave because he and his friend needed medical attention. His lawyer also said no charges should be pressed, as Jake is willing to compensate all those involved for the damage. This isn’t the first time Jake has been involved in a drinking and driving situation. The teen was pulled over last month after police saw him driving at night with his headlights out. When the police came up to his car, they smelled alcohol and administered a field sobriety test, in which Jake blew .08 and was immediately arrested and later charged with DUI. ~ Brie Davis

Too much money at too young an age. Nice when you can buy your way out of having to appear in court and face what you did.

Aawwe poor Jake was just trying to help a friend in need…ya, right…that’s it. Its not like he killed anybody…let’s wait until he kills someone…he just smashed up 3 cars officer. Let’s not press charges…I know its not the first time…he’s willing to pay for the damages. This is soooo pathetic it makes me gag!!! Wait… vodka…driving…isn’t that illegal for the rest of us?

ABC Family, which airs The Fosters, is Disney owned – so he’s still sort of a Disney kid.
