Dominic Monaghan, who played Charlie on the hit TV series Lost, has signed on to play opposite Hugh Jackman in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, according to Variety.com. The former Lord of the Rings hobbit will play a character called Barnell — a mystery man from Wolverine’s past — who can control energy and electricity. Also on board for the movie are Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth), Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Taylor Kitsch (Gambit) and Danny Huston (William Stryker). The film will be shot in New Zealand and Australia and has a release date of May 1, 2009.

deadpool and gambit?! my life is now complete!!!!
He’s looking very Curious George in that picture.
Looking forward to this. Reynolds always brings considerable grit to his action roles (“Malone,” “Sharkey’s Machine”).
“Best Friends” is one of my all-time favourites.
