LOVE Johnny Depp, he is excellent in any role he plays, so I think this will be pretty good.

He’s incredible… but he’ll never win an Oscar if he keeps choosing odd roles. He’s superbly talented, but the O-Committee isn’t interested in Odd or Strange.

He’ll be nominated at most, just like he was for Pirates and Scissorhands. But someone else will take home the Oscar, the person who can act well in a “normal” and realistic role.

Johnny Depp deserves an Oscar, even though you are right that if he keeps choosing roles like this he may not get one. I don’t think he cares that much that, he just likes acting in roles that interest him.

Still my favorite actor though. Anything with Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter’s name on it is a masterpiece already. Can’t wait for this movie

They can keep the accolades, money talks. Is any other higher paid?

I don’t think he really cares about winning awards, he seems to really enjoy taking on the odd roles.

I disagree…Depp shows up voluntarily at a pile of award shows….I definAtely think he cares…

I definAtely think he doesn’t really care that much if he wins awards or not, I think he likes making appearances, kind of a thank you to his fans. Some stars are really caught up in the awards and desperately want to win, he just doesn’t strike me as that type.
